i come from the water
Who: Gabe and Persephone
Where: the lake
When: afternoon
Most of the time Gabe hated what he'd become, but that was taking only the negative into mind. He had a tendency to forget that he could change at will and that the more he did it the less painful it would be. With nothing to do this particular afternoon, he decided to go for a run, but this time in wolf form. There was a bit of a hang-up, as he shifted in his room, then realize he couldn't open the door, but once he figured out how to handle the obstacles in his way he was off, running out into the countryside, seeing Scarlet Oak through different eyes. Every other time he'd done this, he'd had a purpose or been in a panic. This time he could just enjoy it, the wind in his hair, running faster than he ever could as a human.
When he finally slowed down, it was only to drink from the lake, never thinking of how he wouldn't have done so as a human. Seconds later, he jumped in, letting the cool water wash over him. It felt wonderful, though he quickly found that he was a much better swimmer in his human form. With a quick look around, he shifted back, then began to relax in the lake. It was so nice out here, with the sun beating down on him and the calm water surrounding him. He could do this all day.
