Light of May ::: an original roleplay

WHERE: Mercy Emergency Walk in Clinic

( She told him the results of the blood draw would be back in about an hour and offered to get him a magazine to read. He'd stared at her for a long moment before asking if they had playboy. She huffed and stormed out. )

Who: Austin and Coby
When: Before lunch
Where: Phone conversation, answering roommate wanted ad

Austin had checked into the closest non rent by the hour motel he could find. He picked up a local paper and penny saver bulletins in the lobby and settled into his barely adequate room. He certainly couldn't bring Grace to a place like this. He was either going to have to find a place to live ASAP (and a cheap one at that) or find a better hotel. Luckily his parents had agreed to actually stay home and keep Grace for a few days while he got things situated here. He felt bad for disrupting her life as it was, he didn't want to drag her all over town looking for a place to live.

In the paper he saw many advertisements for people needing a roommate but a lot of them asked for no supernaturals and/or no children. He stumbled across one that seemed promising so he called the number listed to see if he could speak with a Coby about her townhome.

Who: Ren and Austin
When: 12:30pm
Where: Sunny's Diner

When Austin had called to accept the piercing job from Ren, his new boss had requested that get together for an informal lunch when he got into town. As soon as he settled into his hotel room he had called Ren and made arrangements to meet at this diner. Not having to worry about getting a little girl dressed and ready to leave actually made him arrive early for once so Austin was enjoying the moment to observe the people in his new little town.

He had dressed semi-casually with a plaid button down shirt and jeans. His leg was bouncing, a nervous habit. He was anxious and nervous to meet Ren and he could feel his heart rate speeding up. He took deep breaths and closed his eyes until the racing stopped. His leg still bounced, but at least his heart wasn't going to run off down the street without him. He nervously cracked his knuckles and glanced at his watch to see that he was still early.
