I just thought I would extend a greeting to everyone. I'm Officer Abigail Miller, with the Seattle PD, and Rainier Valley is where I live and work, as well as where I grew up before I came through the portal. I've been here a while, but I'm just moving into the Hamartia. If anyone ever needs some help with the force, I'll be glad to be of assistance. For you new arrivals, welcome to Seattle, and I'd also be glad to help you find anything. I know Rainier Valley best, but I haven't exactly avoided the rest of the city, either.

Shit, I sound so dumb.

I would have much preferred these buildings to encourage Facebook or MySpace profiles - forums are more difficult to read and encourage users to put more thought into their long replies. An account wherein users are spur-of-the-moment and spontaneous allows for a better profile to be built, especially with included pictures.

This begs the question as to why three unrelated buildings in three separate areas of Seattle would be connected by a shared network unique to those outside of it. I suppose it must inevitably be because of the fact that only immigrants reside in these buildings, but one must wonder why it matters at all. Surely some must leave Seattle and settle in other places, why would keeping any of them in contact be beneficial in the least? Safety in numbers works with zebras that blend together, not with pesky human beings that throw themselves into the task of being distinguished as "special" or "unique."

Ever since my last case concluded I have been terribly bored and I suppose that I must beg like a hungry dog. I suppose any attempts at anonymity are moot now, as Watson has plastered my name across the internet with her ridiculous "blog" revealing the intimate details of my past work. The internet is such a dangerous tool.

Clearly, there are no illusions about the nature of the residents of these three connected buildings. I will be brief.

It seems that while mortality rates differ between the two worlds you all have called "home" at one point or another, the complexity of life in both remains the same. I find myself in need of complexity, and hope that at least one of you will be able to provide it. Personal quandaries, professional puzzles, and positively unsolvable riddles all fall under my jurisdiction. If I can solve your case in under an hour, you must pay me double my usual rate for wasting my time. Thank you.
