I gotta walk, can't stand still

Who: Jadyn and Missy
Where: Local hardware store
When: Late morning

Going out and doing shopping was a big deal to Jadyn. Not a big deal in the sense that her life revolved around it - fuck that and fuck anyone else who lived life like it was a cheap Sex and the City knock off - but it was more of a matter of getting herself out of the house and having to deal with the inevitable: people. It was far easier back on the east coast when she grew up in the same town and new all the locals. Scarlet Oak? Not so much. True, she had been there for close to two years now, but that had nothing on her time in Salem, thus explaining her anxiety spiking each time she knew she had to go out and shop for something. And as much as she wanted to purchase all the supplies needed to build her son some new furniture for his birthday, it was for her son and she just had to check out everything she was buying before it went to her home. Granted, Jadyn did spend several days pacing back and forth in her living room, sucking down cigarette after cigarette, contemplating what to do, but today was the day she bit the bullet and headed off to the local hardware store.

Her paranoia was acting up, as always, leaving her relatively skittish as she arrived at the local hardware store. She prayed that not many people would be there to overwhelm the elemental. Besides, who the hell spent their late morning on a Thursday in a hardware store? Not too many people. And not vampires. No no no no, there will be none of that. Jadyn had to keep telling herself that vampires only came out at night, so she was safe, even though she knew better than that and that they were capable of walking out in broad daylight. 'One of them is going to get you,' a familiar voice rang in her head to haunt her. She let out a shaky sigh and rubbed her forehead, praying that the voices would go away. Adjusting her sunglasses onto the top of her head, she entered the store and continued to hear a few whispers on and off in her mind. She was pretty sure some worker at the front end greeted her and probably offered her assistance, though Jadyn stormed right on by him, keen on not interacting with anyone there if she had to. Besides, she made furniture for a freaking living - she didn't need anyone's help.

Browsing the selection of wood stains, Jadyn tapped an anxious finger against her lip while trying to figure out what to buy. It was difficult when a voice would go off in her head every now and then, simply making her more skittish. "God, why can't you just shut up for just- GAH!" In the middle of growling to herself, she took a brisk turn around the aisle corner and found herself colliding into someone. Oh great, now she just had to interact with someone. Fluttering her brown eyes, Jadyn hesitated for a second before vomiting out her words. "Oh, fuck. Shit! I was.. didn't even see you. Just.. Are you ok? I'm sorry. So so sorry, really. Don't be mad." Because now was not the time to find out if a bucket of paint doubled as a good improv weapon or not in case mad was on the list of current of emotions.

Spin around in a circle

Who: Kat and **open**
Where: Ann Arbor skatepark
When: 2:00 p.m.

Kat was so many levels of not impressed with her hair right then. After they'd gotten back from staying at the high school for the demon attacks Linda Diaz had cornered her youngest daughter with a bottle of bleach and blonde hair dye and it'd all been over. Kat had tried to fight but then her dad had given her one of those looks and she'd just given in. That whole thing with Roxy had left them all in a state of disarray and her mom was dealing with it by being controlling. Kat was one hundred percent certain that the reason all of her nose rings had gone missing was her mother. Oh she denied it but Kat didn't believe her and she felt so naked without one that she'd needed to beg Audrey to take her to Briarwood. Couldn't convince her other big sister to get her the hair dye she needed though.

Stopping off at the skate park after was just plain mandatory after being denied her dye. While Audrey chilled on a bench, soaking up the sun and reading one of those magazines she loved so much, Kat laced up her skates and pulled on her helmet. It had been waaaaay too long since she'd had the chance to hit a ramp and she was going to take full advantage of it. Even if there were a few more people than she was used to there being. Probably because they were all cooped up just like me. Not that the penguin-girl minded at all. More people meant more things to straighten up and as she headed for her favorite ramp she caught herself rearranging bracelets, hats and even one girl's hair. They should've appreciated it because they looked way better with those little fixings.

You're the one that I need, I'm the one that you loathe

Who: Bianca and Nic
Where: A bar
When: Later evening

Drinking once should have been enough. Would have been enough if not for the fact that the other person Bianca had been drinking with was touchy-feely. And even drunk Bianca was not all that big on physical shows of affection. Not with people she was not actually with at that. Which probably explained why she did not have all that many friends - on top of the being creepy and slightly anti-social part. Ronnie was actually quite an odd choice for a friend seeing as how the other girl was very religious and Bianca was very not. Well, she knew all of the verses and the creeds and such, but she followed none of them. Mostly because anything even slightly related to religion made her stomach roll. Just the sight of Ronnie's Bible had been eye-twitch worthy and knowing that she kept it in the apartment... Bianca was sure that was the reason she could feel a migraine coming on. One of the ever-more constant migraines.

So she had made sure that Ronnie was safely in bed before she slipped out, wearing a simple pair of jean shorts, a black tanktop and flip-flops. Because who dressed up when all they were doing was going to a bar to get more drunk? Bad idea with the migraine coming. Or maybe it might actually help head it off. She had never actually tried to use alcohol as medication before so... hmmm... maybe that was an idea worth trying out. Being underage was not something she was worried about once she got inside because there were always guys willing to buy her a drink or two if she would just give them a smile. Giving one such man a smile she accepted the strong fruity drink she was given by the bartender and slipped off into a corner to nurse it on her own, ignoring the music and chatter as she tried to block out any onsetting bits of pain.

it's easy when you don't know better

Who: Jezebelle and Pyotr
Where: Jezebelle's house
When: 9:30pm

High as a kite and nowhere to go, Jezebelle had taken to playing dress up with clothes she hadn't worn in over a century. There were plenty of other things she should be doing, but after stressing herself out over Graham's sudden disappearance, she needed to let herself unwind a bit. The shots she'd had of Baked B probably weren't necessary, but they'd quickly done the trick. Now she hummed to herself as she curled her hair, pinning it up off her neck. Music played softly in the background and Jezebelle giggled as she looked at herself in the mirror. Her lack of reflection seemed especially amusing tonight.

It had been a rather interesting series of days for little Pyotr, primarily that he now had the possibility of adding a new assassin to his toy chest, which was a prospect that left him about as giddy as...well...a kid. Flipping over the card that had this Jezebelle's information upon it, he decided exactly how he was going to go about acquiring her for his collection. Oh, who was he kidding? He was just going to throw money at her until he'd bought her loyalty. You really just couldn't beat assassins in that department, so long as the coin kept flowing then they were yours to command and frankly Pyotr really didn't think the coin was going to dry up anytime soon. Hopping out of the limo, he had his boys wait there and park around the corner. Yes, he preferred to travel in style, but he certainly wasn't going to just wave about his appearance for the entire neighborhood to see. Heading on up to the door, he stretched for a moment to ring the bell...then decided against it and just knocked instead.

I don't have a student ID, but does this badge get me a discount?

Who: Valen and Kiara
Where: Kiara's current place of employ, namely: The Museum
When: Around mid afternoon
Why: Investigatin'

Putting out his cigarette outside the museum he gave the place a quick eyeball before heading in. Frankly he was beginning to get a little tired of these murders popping up all over the place of late, sure a score of them could be traced back to demons but demons tended to leave corpses in big messy chunks rather than drained, desiccated husks. Vampires tended to not be so neat in their draining as these bodies, and of course there was no telltale fangmarks anywhere on 'em. This left Valen to believe that somewhere within his town was a practitioner of blood magic who was getting just a bit too ambitious, a fact which rather excited him. It would be interesting to capture a practitioner, maybe gun him down in self defense if he caught them himself, oh it was a good time to be a witch hunter. Either way, the lead he'd received for this current person of interest was almost too obvious for him to take any credit for.

The woman had taken out an ad in the paper asking for students. I mean seriously, it's quite possibly some of the darkest magics available which can only be practiced if one has blood on hand. Perhaps one could find a better place to advertise one's skills than the Pennysaver. Heading into the museum and flashing his badge and a polite smile to one of the security guards got him the directions he needed to one Kiara O'Neill's office and within a moment he was rapping on her door lightly.

"Miss O'Neill, a moment of your time please?"

Daydream believer...

Who: Troy and OPEN
Where: Near the dojo on the street
When: Lunch time
What: Troy is daydreamin'

He was headed back to the dojo. Tessa was getting a new roommate which meant that he would be spending his Saturday being a human forklift. Which he didn’t mind doing, especially for his sister. It just meant that he had to get all his paperwork finished before then. And there was an awful lot of it, stuff that only he could deal with. There was also the fall schedule to start giving some thought to. Most people wouldn’t expect for that to have to be done in the middle of July but sadly, it did. And he wanted to have that done by the beginning of next week. Friday was his nearly full day of private lessons, so that left today for all the boring and mundane work.

Troy had stopped by the diner and picked up a wrap for his lunch (with extra lettuce on the side for Gambit’s lunch) and was walking back. It seemed everyone was enjoying the lovely day and he couldn’t blame them. It was near perfection and he was already looking into taking a weekend to go camping. A little time communing with nature seemed to be perfect to him.

Perhaps he should have communed with his current surroundings a little better, though, because he managed to run smack into someone and he looked at the individual apologetically. “Sorry. Gotta get my head back out of the clouds,” he joked.

But you won't get to me if I don't sing along

Who: Lizzy and OPEN
Where: The Nest
When: Early afternoon
What: Food will be served

It was a beautiful day. One that wasn’t too hot and Lizzy was more than happy. What was even better was the fact that she was working in the morning, meaning she had the afternoon to go out and spend in the yard. With the demons pretty thinned out, she felt comfortable being outside. It didn’t make her skin crawl. Which meant that she could tend the herbs in the garden with her mother and their familiars. All this made for a very happy witch, one who was working with a larger then normal smile on her face.

Things were always changing for her. What she’d had with Liam didn’t seem to be working out and she had tried not to be disappointed in that fact. He was a nice guy but things didn’t always work out. Maybe one day she’d find someone but for once, she wasn’t looking for her Mr. Darcy around every corner. It would happen when it was meant to and she was okay with that.

Her ponytail bounced as she brought out a tray full of food and served her table. The hostess had just seated someone else in her section and Lizzy headed to bring the tray back and go introduce herself. “Afternoon. I’m Lizzy, and I’m going to be your server today. Would you like something to drink?”
