No prompt today. It's been eight weeks of new prompts, so this is catch-up week.

We have gone through to check activity and we will be contacting folks throughout the week to let them know that they need to post a response or lose their muse.

Additionally, we've decided to implement a waitlist for muses that are currently taken but desired by other folks. If there is a muse you're interested in, please send an email to voices.mods@gmail.com with the subject line "Waitlist" and we will get you added.

There will be no new prompt this week. Instead, you can take this free week to catch up on any prompts you haven't had time to do yet.

I do have a few announcements though.

1. The requirement for keeping your muse active is one prompt out of eight. We've now had eight prompts. Next week, I'll be going through and checking for activity. If you've recently claimed your muse, you don't need to worry. But if you have muses that you've had since the beginning and haven't posted for and you haven't talked to the mods, you may be removed for inactivity.

2. All apps have been processed and the Claimed Character List is updated.

3. If you haven't yet, please join voices_carry. Announcements like this generally go in that community. Additionally, if you haven't already, please fill out this feedback poll. Also, don't forget about the Prompt Suggestion Box.

I have been a sucktastic mod the last two weeks. Due to RL things, I haven't processed any new character apps or updated any lists. I shall have that all done by the end of today. Sorry for the delay.

Additionally - I've seen several requests to join the community come through from journals I don't recognize. If you're interested in being a member, you must complete the application first.

I'm not cutting this because it's all important info. Additionally, if you've applied in the last week (unless it's been in the last couple of hours), you should have your invites. The friending list and the claimed character list are current and up to date. Anyone who has applied today will also get processed in the next day or so.

1. We have created an OOC community - voices_carry. Please join with either your mun journal, your muse journal(s) or both as this is where all official game announcements will now occur.

2. Communication is very important in RP settings. Though roleplaying is not required as a part of this group, I know many of you are interested in roleplaying. One way of setting up OOC communication is to put up a post in your muse's journal for that purpose. However, IJ has a nifty to mark that might also be useful for OOC communication. You'll get a notification either when you receive a new private message or the next time you log in to that journal, so you don't even have to remember to check!

3. Just a reminder that only muse journals will be added to voicesinmyhead and voices_rp. You may watch those communities with mun journals, but please do not try to join. You may, however, join voices_carry with your mun journal, since it's an OOC community.

4. Please tag your posts! Every Monday when I post a new prompt, I'll tag it with the prompt number. And as people post their first character prompts, I'm adding tags with each character's name. Please tag your community posts with both of those things.

5. In addition to tagging, we are also utilizing the memories of the community by Muse and Prompt. We will also be setting up tags and memories in the other comms.

6. You may answer prompts at any time, not just in the week that they are current. But please clearly mark in your subject line or post what prompt you are responding to and please tag your post accordingly. All previous prompts can be found here.

7. You are always welcome to mark a prompt response or an RP post as:
[private] = no one else can see it
[locked] = either to a specific character or set of characters -OR- from a specific character or set of characters
[open] = meaning it's viewable/playable to all.

This can be done in the subject line, as an OOC note at the bottom or both.

Since we have so many new members (yay!), I've revised the friending list to include all the journals we've added. I'll be doing updates on Sundays (or Mondays, if it happens to be a Sunday I'm offline) from now on, after the new journals are added.

Directions: Go to the IJ admin console, paste in the appropriate list, and then hit the "execute" button.

If you did NOT use the friending list posted yesterday, use the first list, which reads "master friending list."

If you DID use the list posted yesterday, use the second list, which reads "friending list updates."

2. To save what little sanity we have left, effective immediately (but not including apps in progress), we will only add new members on Sundays. Applications may be submitted at any time, but we will only process them once a week.

3. I'm so excited to see how many people have already replied to the first prompt! I'm hoping to have the info post done for voices_rp today so you all can start utilizing that.

4. I'm always open to suggestions on how to improve this group, so please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any ideas.

ETA: See, I need caffeine. I've linked a few helpful things on the sidebar of the comm and there is also a tag list there. In addition to tagging by prompt number, I'm going to add tags for each muse so I can track participation easily.

And just to let you all know, I'm still working out the details of exactly how the RP portion of this comm will work. I'll get a post up ASAP.

I also need to write down and post more indepth guidelines for the group in general - but for now, please post your replies to the prompt in the community. You can cross-post to your journal if you'd like. If your response has spoilers for recently aired TV shows or movies (within the last three months), please cut-tag them and give appropriate warnings.

ETA: Anyone up for the task of creating a layout for these comms? I'm graphically impaired, but I'd love something where we can include a tag list on the sidebar.

Just to let you all know - I'll post the first prompt this coming Monday (June 11).

Additionally, I'm only granting posting access to your character journals - but if you want to watch the comm with your regular journals, that's fine. I won't be locking the prompts.
