I Resist the Muses

I don't know what I expect to find there, but I do know that I believe there is one. I mean, there are stranger things that are real, you know?

Secret government agencies, giant alien robots that transform into vehicles, ... girl mechanics.

I participated in a battle with creatures who wanted to destroy humankind and turn Earth into one giant mechanical wasteland. Why should the concept of an Afterlife be so surprising? It makes about as much sense as everything else that I've seen proven real.

What do I expect to find when I get there?

I really don't know because I haven't given it much thought.

I'm too busy living this life to the fullest that I can.

Fifty years from now, when you're looking back at your life, don't you want to be able to say you had the guts to get in the car?"

I have to admit that following that advice was probably the best thing I ever did for myself in my entire life. It was Sam's advice -- Sam Witwicky whom I had never really noticed before that day at the lake. After I kept Trent from flattening him -- and I have to admit, his commentary about the book was pretty funny -- and Sam ended up giving me a ride home, my life changed completely.

When I was in the car with Sam and that other psychotic car was chasing us, I wasn't sure what was going to happen to either one of us. Then the two cars got into a huge wrestling match with Sam's car protecting us and it was definitely the most bizarre things that I had ever experienced in my life.

After the car started talking to us following the fight, I wasn't sure what to make out of any of what was happening. But then he went from robot to car again, and wanted us to get in. I wasn't sure about it -- I didn't want to. However, then Sam started asking me what I wanted to be able to say about my life in fifty years and I got into the car.

Looking back on it now, I'm really glad I did. The things I saw and did were things I never would have imagined ever being a part of. After I got into that car, I became a part of something that really mattered... something that was important.

It was the best advice I have ever gotten.
