Prompt 1: Who Am I?
Who am I? Well my name is Laura. Laura Cadman.
I'm a Leuitenent in the US Navy, which might seem like an usual career decision for a girl, but I've always been something of a tomboy. I was a bit of a wild child and I was often in trouble at school. I used to get told off for setting fire to things.
These days I do this legitimately; my specialisation is in high temperature and energetic materials technology. Or explosives in other words. I do like making things so "boom"! *giggles*
What else can I tell you? I have tow sisters, one older than me and the other younger. My elder sister is married to a real nice guy and they have two boys. I spoil them outrageously when I'm home and teach them things I probably shouldn't. My younger sister wants to be an actress. We are all different. Some times we get on, but there have also been some spectacular fights.
My parents are the coolest on Earth. They guided us gently, letting us choose what we wanted to do while making sure we got good grades at school.
I miss them. Still, out here is a huge adventure and not one I'd choose to miss.
