Roleplay Guidelines
1. BE POLITE.
Your muse is allowed to be the biggest jerk imaginable. But we're all big boys and girls here, and know how to separate the OOC and the IC. If something comes up, please talk it over with each other before contacting a mod. That said, you may contact the mods at voices.mods@gmail.com.
We'd like this all to be very freeform and easygoing, so let's all do our best to keep it that way.
2. voicesinmyhead is for admin posts, muse prompts, and roleplaying in the comments of the muse prompts.
This asylum is considered, IC, to be whatever works best for your muse's setting. For example, in a pre-computer society, your muse might have a handwritten journal with entries from other people that magically appear, and you can communicate with them. Or your muse might have access to a mysteriously-appearing internet forum that connects them to voicesinmyhead. Choose the medium that works best for you.
3. voices_rp is for in-character interpersonal interaction.
The IC setting is a large, mysterious, luxury hotel named Voici. It's located in an isolated area of 21st century America. An ornate-looking key shows up unexpectedly in your character's bedroom, and there is an invitation directing you to a particular doorway in your character's universe. That key lets you into the hotel in voices_rp, and to your character's bedroom, which is listed in the letter. The hotel staff is seen clearly, existing solely as glimpses caught of the corner of your character's eye.
From the hotel, you could take another character on a visit to your world. For example, Laura Cadman could take Obi-Wan Kenobi to Atlantis, or Veronica Mars could take Jill Pole to California.
4. No one can do anything to your character without the player's express consent.
I don't think I need to explain this one any more clearly, do I? That means that Dexter Morgan cannot go and kill anyone unless their player okays it. (Sorry, Dexter!)
5. No godmodding.
For clarification's sake, godmodding is stating that something happens to another character. Cole Turner's player could, say, state that he's going to throw a fireball at Piper Halliwell. It's up to Piper to say if the fireball hits her, or if she dodges it.
6. Adult material is more than fine with us; however, it must go on your character's journal, and behind a cut-tag. Please explain outside of the cut why you cut the entry. Some people browse from work. (*haloes*) Please keep in mind what levels of decency IJ journals are held to, and what material is prohibited on IJ.
7. It's not required, but it's a good idea to put an OOC contact post up on your muse journal.
8. Should you want to work on anything plotty in the voices_rp asylum, and need an NPC for your fandom, please get a mod's okay before creating one.
9. It's also possible to have an asylum as a setting for single-fandom interaction. Roleplay is okay here, of course, but all roleplay is unmoderated. Please let us know if you create an asylum; that way we can add it to the friending list.
Currently we have the following:
atlantis - Stargate: Atlantis
halliwell_manor - Charmed
hearst_college - Veronica Mars
