Ah Fuck me I am pleased to announce that I will be starting a new role at Dunhaven University, teaching German 101 for the June session, and German 201 for the July session, for those that need an extra language credits.

And in the fall, I will teach two courses; Comparative Literature and German Literature and Cultural History.

I will be still working at the library part-time this summer, but I look forward to this new adventure.

It just sort of occurred to me that this month marks 10 years since we came to Dunhaven.

I'm not really sure how I'm meant to feel about that number, to be honest. I'm having similar struggles with other numbers as of late, though, particularly 18 and 38. (I'll admit that the former is a bit more jarring than the latter there.) That being said, moving to Dunhaven was a decision that I questioned every step of the way, even years after settling here. It was something that I needed in some ways, though in other ways it sometimes felt as though I was simply running. I think that was my guilt talking, though. That's what my therapist would say, at least. Ugh, don't say It was good in the end, I hope.

Mm, anyway. You're welcome for this moment of introspection.

today is national absinthe day. just letting y'all know.

okay, i've done some research on jessie's girl and here's what i know.

1. she's originally from chicago and moved here as a kid.
2. she has two dads, one of which teaches at athena.
3. after she graduated high school, she traveled around asia and europe for a while. she actually has a youtube channel with vlogs that have a surprisingly high number of views from when she was traveling.
4. she's open about her dreams and is dreaming about someone from star wars.
5. she apparently went up against the school board with some other people when they tried to change the dress code when she was in high school so people couldn't have unnatural hair color. the admins ended up dropping it.
6. per the yearbook i found at the school library (they need to work on their security tbh), she was in a shit ton of activities in high school.
7. she's studying english right now at the university.
8. she's had a couple speeding tickets.

points in her favor include: having come over and participated in darunia smut fanfiction readings, cool hair, she brought over that leftover sushi that one time, and how jessie makes that heart eyes expression whenever she's around that's downright endearing.

Galadriel, as it turns out, both loves and misses me. On the other paw, I've barely seen Arwen since coming home, so I assume that she has decided that Gabriel is her new owner and that I have been cast aside. This will require treats of the highest quality to bribe for her affections.
