Scientists revealed today the first photo taken of a black hole, changing the setting and landscape of science fiction forever. :)

The neat thing about this project is that scientists linked observatories across the world, amassing their power and sharing data as they all focused on this specific project. I might not be that scientist yet but I'm proud of them. This photo is the first step to fully realizing the enormity of the space-time continuum.

Just because I understand how Dunhaven works, I wanted you to hear the following from me. Yes, I went to the ER last night. No, it wasn't anything too serious. Yes, I had to get stitches. Yes, I'm back at work. No, I'm not overexerting myself or whatever.

Now you're up to date.

My own dreams have made me particularly introspective recently, so I decided it's time for another anonymous post. This one isn't for any academic purpose (though each post is inherently good data for academic purposes despite their individual intentions), but it seems that a lot of us have found them cathartic. So, as usual, feel free to comment below--you will be anonymous unless you choose to be unmasked.

What lesson(s) have you learned from yourself the person you've been dreaming about?

My greatest lesson has been learning to truly value the people in my life who care about me. I already did, but there's something to be said for consciously recognizing that value each time I think of them.

While we were getting groceries today, there were some girls in the lobby set up and selling Girl Scout cookies. I bought a bunch because this is truly the best part of the year and Zoe had all sorts of questions about why they were selling cookies and what Girl Scouts are and so on. By the time we got home and the conversation had ended, she had decided that she wants to be a Girl Scout once she's old enough, which I am completely fine with. I like the idea of her having the opportunity to be around more kids her age and all of the other perks that come with being in the group.

That being said, I went online and saw that it's for ages 5-18. For a moment I was sad for her, because it would be so much time before she'd be able to join. But then I realized that she turns 5 this year. What more, she turns 5 in three months. In fall, she will be in kindergarten.

Long story short, I'm getting old and I ate a box of Thin Mints. No regrets about the second.

This will be my last semester in school ... soon, I'll have a degree in Physics and Astronomy. I may even get my late nights back? And for that reason I have to ask you if you have any good television or books I should put on my list. It won't happen until May at the very latest but I work under the idea that there is no time like the present.

When I am in school, I feel cut off from you and from Jyn and the way to lure myself back to encountering you is with food. (Of course.)

Hey. I figured this was the easiest place to let you guys know that Charlie and I decided that we're not going to move in together after all. Nothing changed between us and we're as good as ever, but I wanted to be transparent with you guys and let you know. That's all.

I'm stopping to pick up ice cream on my way home tonight. Any requests for dinner? Should we order in?

MATEO ROJAS:

I think we need a night to ourselves. Or maybe us and your nieces? Or just you and the nieces if you're feeling up to it.

Hey. Charlie asked me to move into her house.

In just over a week, I will be thirty eight. I have over ten years on what the man in my dreams ever had, and not a day goes by where I don't think about that. He deserved better. He deserved more.

STAR WARS:

They're making a series about him. Did you see?

I bet you all were thinking, "Oh, good. Charlie is going to stop asking random questions about our dream lives because it's an uncomfortable and awkward topic most of the time." HA HA. No, not quite. I'm too curious for my own good and I think, eventually, all of this information will be of use to us. So here's the next topic for discussion for all you second-life dreamers out there!
