Hello, friends! With it being two weeks into 2020, I've been working pretty steadily on my planner and getting all of my exciting dates for the new year sorted out. I like having things to look forward to, especially since I'm packing my last semester of undergrad full of credits, and one of those things I'm looking forward to is this five year anniversary that I will be celebrating in March. Thinking about it has me all full of warm fuzzies and since it's been a while since I did one of these open forum sort of things, now seems like a good time.

So, here's my question! What is your meet cute? AKA how did you meet your partner? Give me all of the heart eyes with your stories, please and thank you.

I think we all know by now, either first-hand or otherwise, that the dreams here in town can be [...] hard to deal with at times. The reasons for that, I'm sure, are just as numerous as there are residents of town. But- and not to sound overtly smarmy, here- one way or another, we get through it together.

In an effort to bolster that latter sentiment, some of the local veterans and I were discussing starting up a new support group. For those who didn't already know, there is an open and confidential support group for military veterans on the first Saturday of every month, out at Dunhaven Regional Airport. But given that this group is specifically for those of us who served in the military in our real lives, we [...] wanted to offer a way to branch out toward those who served in their dreams.

We're not asking anyone to out themselves, of course. And we're certainly not therapists or professionals. Rather, just [...] sympathetic and understanding ears. But if you're interested, please let me know, and we'll get something scheduled in December. (You can respond anonymously to this post, if you feel that you need to.) Anything shared at the meeting would remain strictly confidential. Having a safe space for those of us who are dreaming along such veins is the most important part.

I forgot to tell you that I told my sister about my Nova's powers that I inherited. She thought that I was living with you, because my bed never looks slept in and she'd noticed so I told her. It felt like a really good step and I just wanted to share it.

Wow. I don't even have furniture yet in my apartment, but I already got mail inviting me to join this network. Way to go, City Hall. You're on top of things!

That being said, I could use some help! I haven't lived in Dunhaven for a handful of years and while I've visited, my focus was mostly on the people I was visiting. So, I'd really love to know what I've missed, like new businesses and restaurants. I already have visited Stella's and had a giant stack of waffles and while I could probably just keep that up forever, I could probably spread my money around a little bit. 😉

I suppose that's it! It's going to be a beautiful day, guys. I can feel it. I hope you get to enjoy it!

My stock is currently overflowing right now, so I have a pretty intense sale going on in my Etsy shop and will also have more options than usual down at the farmer's market alongside the Navarro produce. I will still do custom orders, of course, but my existing pieces are very much on sale, if anyone is on the prowl for some jewelry.

Thanks to Naomi's brilliant idea, I'm going to put together a resource accessible to anyone dealing with the Dreams that essentially just lists who is being dreamed of and any other pertinent details you might think need to be included for others to identify that they're at least sharing dreams about the world even if they don't know the name. For example, it might look like:

Just leave a note here, anonymously or not, letting me know the name of who you are dreaming about and anything else you want to mention. I've been trying to avoid reading about Marvel stuff, but it's just everywhere with all of the Disney announcements that came out the last handful of days and it's slowly grating away at my sanity which is probably the only reason I've reached this point where I'm willingly talking about these damn dreams in public. I haven't been having them that long compared to some people, so it's sort of weird for me. But these dreams are tough sometimes and I know they'll get worse, so I thought maybe it was time to sort of come out of the shadows and maybe make some connections with people who might be dreaming about the same tough things. I haven't really been paying attention to who has and hasn't been vocal about this stuff to know already, so sorry if I should know.
