I think we all know by now, either first-hand or otherwise, that the dreams here in town can be [...] hard to deal with at times. The reasons for that, I'm sure, are just as numerous as there are residents of town. But- and not to sound overtly smarmy, here- one way or another, we get through it together.
In an effort to bolster that latter sentiment, some of the local veterans and I were discussing starting up a new support group. For those who didn't already know, there is an open and confidential
support group for military veterans on the first Saturday of every month, out at Dunhaven Regional Airport. But given that this group is specifically for those of us who served in the military in our real lives, we [...] wanted to offer a way to branch out toward those who served in their dreams.
We're not asking anyone to out themselves, of course. And we're certainly not therapists or professionals. Rather, just [...] sympathetic and understanding ears. But if you're interested, please let me know, and we'll get something scheduled in December. (You can respond anonymously to this post, if you feel that you need to.) Anything shared at the meeting would remain strictly confidential. Having a safe space for those
of us who are dreaming along such veins is the most important part.
