I already have a few very wonderful employees, but I do not want to leave them short staffed so I plan to hire one or two additional team members! Hello, sweet friends! I usually keep these posts to Instagram, but if you haven't followed us yet or don't love social media, I didn't want you to miss out. If you don't know me yet, I'm Calliope Corvin and I own For Goodness Bakes which is downtown next to The Dreamery!

For our first Valentines Day in Dunhaven with a storefront, we decided to go all out. Normal Friday hours, as previously announced, have shifted. We will be open today at 9am and I'm continuing to bake until NOON to keep us in cake as long as possible. Regardless of sales, we close at 4pm because I have a sweet date with my own Valentine. 😘

Remember if you put in a custom order for today or this weekend, they need to be picked up before close at 4pm. Even if you didn't order ahead, we have plenty of selections for you to come by and get something for your Honeybee! Or, you know, if you just want to Treat Yo Self. 😋

Tell me if you want more raspberry champagne or chocolate covered strawberry cupcakes! (Yes, you do have to be 21+ to buy the strawberry champagne because they actually have a little something-something in them.) Cast votes here or on Instagram to say what you want more of! Voting stops at 10am.

Here are some sneak peeks of some things available at the store today. Whole cakes and cupcake bouquet quantities are very limited. Get here asap if you want one! That red velvet is amazing, but I think the six layer strawberry buttercream dream has my heart. 🤯🤤 It has layers of real strawberry, strawberry preserves, and chocolate ganache because why not?

So, I'm sure most of you have noticed that there's been some renovating going on at 215 Main Street next to The Dreamery. I'm finally ready to officially make the announcement:

For Goodness Bakes is no longer by order only! We will be having a soft-open on Black Friday, November 29th. I'm really excited about this next phase of my baking adventures, and I hope you all will be, too. Our website was updated today with hours and information.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please let me know! An announcement will also be going up on the Instagram page soon, but seeing as this is the Dunhaven Network, I thought it was best to let you all, my beloved neighbors, in on the secret first.

FRIENDS & FAMILY OF IAN & EZRA

As some of you already know, Ezra and I decided that we wanted to get married a couple of weeks ago. We had an initial plan, but some soul-searching had us changing things around -- and by soul-searching, I do mean a conversation with my mom that was, frankly, very convincing. (But when have I ever not listed to my mom, really?) So while I would like to thank everyone that helped with brainstorming the original ideas, this is what we've decided is best for us:

Next Wednesday, November 27th, we would greatly appreciate it if as many of you as are available were to come to City Hall here in town at 3PM to watch us get married. Mom and Henry are coming down already for Thanksgiving, so they will be there. We know that this is last minute and that it's afternoon on a week day, so we understand if you can't all make it, but if you can, do know that you're welcome. And if you can't make it, you're still all invited to dinner with us at The Square that evening at 7PM and also for Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday evening at my place, if you don't already have plans. Most of you already have standing invitations to the latter as it is; if you had any question about it, now you know for sure.

Anyway, I believe that will do it. You are all incredibly important to us, so we wanted to include you as much as we could as we take this step together. Thank you for always being there and making us a possibly unconventional, but sincerely amazing family.

T-minus two weeks until the Norfolk-Salazar house will be complete. Then one month to get everything moved and ready for the newest Salazar. And then Christmas.

Are you guys content with your place or have you considered looking elsewhere or somewhere larger?

Wow. I don't even have furniture yet in my apartment, but I already got mail inviting me to join this network. Way to go, City Hall. You're on top of things!

That being said, I could use some help! I haven't lived in Dunhaven for a handful of years and while I've visited, my focus was mostly on the people I was visiting. So, I'd really love to know what I've missed, like new businesses and restaurants. I already have visited Stella's and had a giant stack of waffles and while I could probably just keep that up forever, I could probably spread my money around a little bit. 😉

I suppose that's it! It's going to be a beautiful day, guys. I can feel it. I hope you get to enjoy it!
