10 Reasons Why My Husband Is Awesome:

1. When he leaves the house before me, he leaves breakfast out for me to eat before I start my day.
2. He knows my diet inside and out and has learned as much as I have about what foods help and hurt my health issues and he uses that knowledge to make sure he's always providing the best options for me.
3. He's so patient. My Bad Mornings aren't quite as frequent as they used to be, though still as unpredictable, and he never makes me feel worse for having to change or cancel plans, or for having to care a little extra for me while I work through it.
4. He's the only massage therapist that I trust with my long-term care plans these days and he is, frankly, a magician at his job.
5. He is literally the best Dog Dad despite us only having our doggos for a short time.
6. His smile is super infectious and especially so because he doesn't just give them out carelessly. Getting one of his smiles is special.
7. He gets me and loves me even when I'm being especially stubborn (always).
8. He's So Damn Beautiful?? I mean, how does this human even exist??
9. He makes life feel less scary and the past feel like it was all worth it to end up where we are right now.
10. Sivbarat. Zethetet. You're the only one who needs to know that one.

Today is a most auspicious day, because not only is it that classic weekly holiday of Throwback Thursday on the social medias, but it is also the anniversary of the day my sweet Galadriel came into my life. And so, while this is not Instagram, I'm still using it as a space to show my girl's glow up -- though, let's be quite honest, she was glowing pretty much from the start.

A little background: I adopted Galadriel the January before my first book in my current series was released. I was bartending and one of the waitresses had a cat that had kittens and she was giving them away. Between working at the bar (and waitressing at another restaurant) to pay my rent and trying to meet deadlines on my book, I really didn't see much outside of the room I was renting and it was pretty lonely. So, I took one of the kittens and it ended up being one of my best decisions. I like to think of her as my good luck charm, because I've had some great things happen since she came into my life.

And now I very much would like to see your pets and hear some stories behind them! I'm very much a cat person and have no problem admitting it, but I am accepting of all the rest of the pets out there. Bonus points if you include baby and current pictures.

Hello, friends! With it being two weeks into 2020, I've been working pretty steadily on my planner and getting all of my exciting dates for the new year sorted out. I like having things to look forward to, especially since I'm packing my last semester of undergrad full of credits, and one of those things I'm looking forward to is this five year anniversary that I will be celebrating in March. Thinking about it has me all full of warm fuzzies and since it's been a while since I did one of these open forum sort of things, now seems like a good time.

So, here's my question! What is your meet cute? AKA how did you meet your partner? Give me all of the heart eyes with your stories, please and thank you.

Now that Thea and I are more or less completely moved in (minus a few boxes, but we just won't talk about that), what would you all say to celebrating Thanksgiving here?

To be clear, I'd definitely need some help cooking, but we've got a nice new kitchen and I can't imagine that anyone with a kid under 1 wants to be hosting much of anything. (No offense.)

Guess who just bought like five of these? That's right, this girl. 🤗 I am so excited by this concept, I can't even tell you.

Dunhaven, meet Asher Hikaru Perkins. He arrived last night and I've barely taken my eyes off him since. Both he and his mom are doing well and we should be home soon. We'll definitely let visitors know when we're ready for them.

The clinic will be closed through the rest of the month, outside of emergencies. If you need a referral elsewhere in the meantime, I can get you one. Otherwise, I'll see you and your furiends in November.

Today is the day! The first annual Dunhaven Youth Center 5k Run/Walk begins this morning at 9:30! You still have time to go down and register.

Astrid says she's been training all week, and she's getting pretty good with the proper motivation! Gotta go out there and support Dad!

Thanks to Naomi's brilliant idea, I'm going to put together a resource accessible to anyone dealing with the Dreams that essentially just lists who is being dreamed of and any other pertinent details you might think need to be included for others to identify that they're at least sharing dreams about the world even if they don't know the name. For example, it might look like:

Just leave a note here, anonymously or not, letting me know the name of who you are dreaming about and anything else you want to mention. I just wanted to issue a bit of a reminder, in case you hadn't seen everything in the newspaper and the posters around the town, that next Sunday, the 22nd, is the first Dunhaven Youth Center 5K Run/Walk! We've had a nice show of support in people who have signed up to participate, but there is always room for more. Registration is $25 and can be done up until the start of the run itself at 9:30AM. All funds raised will go toward the youth center to help in funding events, classes, and supplies.

So please consider coming out, if you're interested! We'd like to see you all.
