My birthday is in less than two weeks. I've never been adept at the concept of informing people of what I want and waiting to receive it. I usually don't know what I want until I see it.

That being said, I have two new pairs of shoes, three dresses, a purse, and a tablet. The latter is a purchase I never thought I'd make. It seemed pointless before. It runs Apple iOS 10, A10X Fusion chip with 64-bit architecture Embedded M10 coprocessor with 2224 x 1668 resolution to boot, and it's beautiful.

Dess is going out of town this upcoming weekend for her High School reunion and I'm going to have run of the house. Who is up for a bonfire out by the Winnebago?

*If you think Indiana was friends with your person while they were an upper classman and he was a younger one, they'd be able to see. Just no parental types, basically.

Well, well, well--I've been so swamped with my internship, I completely missed the launch of our groundbreaking Dunhaven social network. Someone at city hall is certainly earning their keep; I, for one, think this is rather clever.

Juno here, by the way, and I had a fun day at The Capitol that I must share with you all. The other VA interns and I decided to spice up our tours to constituents by dressing as famous historical figures and giving the tour in-character. I'm Hamilton. My friend is Burr.



It was meant to be "for the kids," but I think I might have lost them by rambling on a bit too much about the virtues of federalism and merits of the national bank. But it was terribly in character, if I do say so myself. Come visit us and give us a reason to do it again! Pester your senator and demand a tour and a meeting, we'll be happy to accommodate you!

Anyway, that's my pitch for civic engagement. I made it back in time for a Taste of Dunhaven today, so don't forget to come by the Gerges Dental Group booth and pick up some healthy, sugar-free treats. Plus, we're giving away free cleanings! Or, you can schedule a free cleaning, rather. With me. We're obviously not doing them there.

Y'ALL. So your tastebuds are ready for the Taste of Dunhaven. I get it. But are you ready to buy all the flowers? Ummmm. Founder's Day, I've got a booth. Get ready to gird your loins with daisies, sunflowers and aster. The aster is as big as my head. #tmi

If you haven't, yet, be sure to get your ticket for the Taste of Dunhaven event tomorrow. I'll be featuring a few items that haven't appeared on The Square's menu before and, while I hate to brag, I think it's going to be pretty spectacular. I've been told that it's not quite as good as cheeseburger pizza and cheetos, but what can you do? Tickets are on sale until the event starts tomorrow--hope to see everyone there.

Dunhaven, VA: the city with less stoplights than fingers I have, one church, six schools, and its own social media app. We have interesting priorities.
