Galadriel, as it turns out, both loves and misses me. On the other paw, I've barely seen Arwen since coming home, so I assume that she has decided that Gabriel is her new owner and that I have been cast aside. This will require treats of the highest quality to bribe for her affections.

PS: I was obviously awake enough to take this picture, so don't think I was attempting to look asleep or pull a fast one. I just blinded myself with the flash. 🙃

So, Chase brought up the idea of going to St. Louis for a long weekend and talking to Mom about everything in person, rather than doing it over video chat or something like that. I like this idea, because I want her to meet him more officially anyway and I also just really want to see her. Do you want to come with us? I figured it would also be a good time to spring the idea of her moving out here on her, so your presence would be helpful.

I didn't have anything planned, so I can be free for you. You can tell them whenever you're ready to, I think. But yes, it's probably better to be straightforward about it so it doesn't just get accidentally dropped into conversation.

It will be fine, I think. She's always been so supportive and she took everything with Ella in stride, so I can only imagine that she will be good with this, too. I think that having a grandbaby in the traditional sense will be exciting for her. Gabe and I were also just compiling reasons to get her to leave St. Louis and join us here, too.

But, you know, I worry. I'm really good at it. It's kind of like my #1 skill.
