I know I haven't really been myself for the last little while. And I'm trying to work on that. And I appreciate your patience with me, and the reaching out when I've maybe not been very receptive to it.

But I need to say something and it's not really easy for me to say but please listen, okay?

I know I'm the youngest one of us. And it's probably pretty natural for you all to think of me like I'm still just a kid who needs protecting all the time. I know I'm not the sort of person to lash out or to throw the first punch. Or any punches.

But that's how I want to be.

And being that way doesn't mean I need someone else to stand on guard in front of me forever.

Yeah, maybe it leaves me a little more fragile or a little more susceptible to being hurt. But that's my choice. And I'll deal with those consequences.

And if you think you know better than me what I want or need, and act on that without talking to me about it- especially if those actions wind up hurting someone else- that [...] doesn't make you a very good friend. It makes me feel like I can't trust you, and that's now how I want to feel about any of you.

That's all, I guess. Just... think about it, okay?

If I haven't met you personally before, my name is Avery Perkins. I'm the director of Picasso art gallery and run an Etsy shop with Caty Norfolk.

I'm reaching out to all of you today to let you know that I've been sharing dreams with someone from Westeros as well- Cersei Lannister.

I hid it for a long time for a variety of reasons. The largest and most important reason being that I know just how much Cersei has hurt all of you. I thought that by keeping her from affecting you here, in this life, that I was protecting you from her in my own small way.

I recently came clean with Caty about everything and she encouraged me to reach out to the rest of you to let you know. I took some time to think about it, and realized that she was right. (She usually is.) So this is me letting you all know.

Please understand that I do not agree with any of the horrendous things that Cersei did within her life. If I could take them back or do anything at all to fix them, I would. So I hope you won't hold them against me, but I also understand if you'd rather not interact with me beyond this.

It's Astrid's first Halloween next week, and I couldn't deprive her of trying chocolate. We did a trial run at the house this morning to see how she'd react. I think she might have liked it. Sorry, not sorry for the mom post.

With all the talk around town about that prom that they have going on, I started thinking about our prom and how we didn't really get one. I know that I wasn't in the right frame of mind to really be able to do something like that at the time and while I still really appreciate you understanding and being as wonderful as you were (are), I still sort of feel like maybe we missed out on a high school rite of passage or something like that. Getting all fancy and wearing corsages and all that corny stuff.

So, I know that this isn't as grand as some of the promposals that people actually did in school (Remember the guy and his friends that painted the letters for prom on their chests and took their shirts off during lunch but they had the P and R swapped around? Because I do. I have nightmares about it.) and I also know that it's really last minute, but I was wondering if maybe you'd like to have a belated prom with me?
