I've been trying to tell people as I see them, but I'm starting my new job at Salazar Industries next week. If you still want to reach out to me for book recommendations, you can, but Chapter One is now looking for a part-time employee in my stead. It's been a good few years, but it's time.

Anyone know anything about coaching with the Youth Soccer League, though? I'm not ready to completely set soccer aside and that seems like a good way to give back to the community since that's where I started off.

Hello, friends! With it being two weeks into 2020, I've been working pretty steadily on my planner and getting all of my exciting dates for the new year sorted out. I like having things to look forward to, especially since I'm packing my last semester of undergrad full of credits, and one of those things I'm looking forward to is this five year anniversary that I will be celebrating in March. Thinking about it has me all full of warm fuzzies and since it's been a while since I did one of these open forum sort of things, now seems like a good time.

Anyone else my age a little bit dumbfounded to be coming up to what will (hopefully) be our last year of undergrad? Because that seems a little bit impossible and a lot a bit hard to wrap my head around right now. I'm also (hopefully) doing grad school after, but still. It's been a very fast three years!

So for anyone that doesn't know, I'm not going to be living on campus and am instead going to be in one of those new townhouses that they're almost done building over by the river. I really want to have a housewarming party basically as soon as I move in, which is going to be over Labor Day weekend. The party itself won't be then because it'll just be boxes and me waiting for furniture to arrive, but sometime soon after. I'll let you know! I was just a bit excited when I found out they'd for sure be ready and had to share. 🙃

FRIENDS & FAMILY

This might be a bit belated, but I didn't really want to say anything until I knew that things were going to for sure happen. When Theresa and I first bought this place, it was with the intent that it would be a starter home. Any of you that have been over here know it's not the biggest of houses and with Zoe getting older and the dog not getting any smaller, we're outgrowing it. We probably actually outgrew it a few years ago, truth be told but I.

Anyway, all that to say that I've spent the summer working with a realtor and we found a place. My offer was accepted last night and Zoe has already picked out her bedroom, so we're as good as moved in. I'm going to hang onto the current house and rent it for a while, but we're hoping to close by the end of August. The place is over on Westover, so close to the Winters and the rest of the Wolfes. I liked growing up over there, so it seems fitting for Zoe to do the same. Plus, it will make it easier for Mom to do her surprise visits, which I'm sure she'll appreciate. It's a weird time of year to be doing this with school starting up and [...] everything else, but that's how it works out sometimes.

Anyway. Just wanted to let you guys know that I'll be hiring skilled box carriers in the near future. Can't promise the pay is great, though.
