Hey. I need to tell you both something, but first -- how are you doing?

I just have to say since it's the beginning of the year that I am very proud of our community. So many of us have been through so much, both personally and with these dreams. It's a lot to deal with, and so many people are doing their absolute best to put themselves first and take care of the full spectrum of their health.

That being said, I understand that some people may not be comfortable talking one on one. Others may not feel as though they would benefit from personalized sessions, or maybe you would love to participate, but don't know how to get started or have financial obstacles. I know that the local veterans group has already begun a small group support session for those dealing with service dreams, PTSD, or violent dreams, and that's a beautiful thing.

I would like to offer another safe space at Pathway to Wellness. I'm just now getting this idea off the ground, but every two weeks I would like to offer group sessions. They would be an hour or so long, available to anyone who would like to come. In return for guiding the sessions, I'm asking that all participants do one of two things: Donate $5 which will be 100% reinvested in programs in our community that support mental health OR compose an anonymous card that will be donated to Dunhaven Hospital and distributed amongst patients in long-term care who need their spirits uplifted. Supplies for cards will be provided.

You would not be obligated to talk. You do not have to share specific, revealing details about yourself or your dreams. If you just want to come to support your friend who wants to be there, that's fine, too. We can adjust the needs of the sessions as we figure out what help and support is needed. If you wish to reach out for individual appointments afterwards, there will be comment cards available. If me reaching out is easier than taking the first step yourself, indicate how you would like me to contact you and I promise you will hear from me in whatever manner gives you the most peace.

You are all so very much loved and supported, and if you need to speak, you should be able to do so. You deserve to be heard, regardless of your circumstances. Please come join us.

Halloween night remains one of my favorites. I don't know how it's only been two years, but being your mom is one of my very favorite things in the entire world, Jonas. We made a pretty great trio of superheros the night I met you. I hope you never grow out of enjoying Halloween to the fullest. To me, it will always be our day.

Hi, everyone! Another post so soon? Thanks to Naomi's brilliant idea, I'm going to put together a resource accessible to anyone dealing with the Dreams that essentially just lists who is being dreamed of and any other pertinent details you might think need to be included for others to identify that they're at least sharing dreams about the world even if they don't know the name. For example, it might look like:

Just leave a note here, anonymously or not, letting me know the name of who you are dreaming about and anything else you want to mention. In case anyone was wondering, I may have gone a little overboard on monograms. I can see that now that all of my hoards of things have finally been unpacked and displayed.

Any other parents out there having difficulty adjusting to the fact that school is back in session? I had grown accustomed to the summer hours of being able to go home and have lunch with J. Pretty sure he's officially finding it weird that I'm so excited about helping him with homework, though. Please just let him think I'm cool for a few more years.

This is the first time in a long time that I'm not part of the first day of school and it's even harder than I expected it to be. I'm so excited to be spending this time with our girls but I'm missing my colleagues and my kids at the high school already. To everyone going back to school to learn or to teach, my heart is with you and I hope it's a great first day back for each of you! ❤️

I had a dream last night. Obviously I only slept for a normal amount of time, but it felt as though I lived half a life during it. Childhood, adolescence, a lot of training and military. That's familiar, I know, but I wasn't me and it definitely wasn't Virginia. It was about a boy named Matthias and he lived in somewhere called Fjerda. He did It got All of it was very real. I remember it as clearly as I do growing up with you two.

Hello there, Dunhaven. I was sent access to this network absolutely eons ago and figured it was about time I saw what I was missing out on. Given just how bad I am at checking my Facebook more than once or twice a week (which I understand is a skill I shouldn't be too put out by, if the clickbait articles describing my generation are to be trusted), it probably shouldn't be too shocking that it's taken me this long. But, here I am now!

So, again -- hello, Dunhaven. I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend so far! It was a pretty quiet Saturday over here, with the exception of a minor "huffing at Mom" incident when I asked someone to clean her room, but it is what it is. Peace was restored by dinnertime, possibly because I promised her an ice cream run for dessert. I should probably write a parenting book about bribery.

HOW does summer always seem to go by so quickly? I think I need a last hurrah summer trip sometime before classes start up in August. Sora? Finn? Anyone?

Hey, so. How are you settling in?

In less than a month, I will be marrying the love of my life and I honestly can stop grinning like an idiot every time I remember that fact. Finnley, Jonas and I are so lucky to have you in our lives. You make them better, brighter, and more fulfilling, and I love every second that we have with you. I can't wait to be your husband and I just needed to take a minute away from kitchen prep to tell you that. In a very public manner because everyone needs to know just how amazing a human being you are.

Now that I've seen my girls, I feel as though it's safe to actually use this network and say hello. It's been a while since I had a permanent address in Dunhaven and it feels pretty good, all things considered.

How is everyone? I wouldn't mind some life updates.

In case anyone was wondering, it's just eighty-six days until I can officially start using my new business cards, and I've never been so stoked about small stacks of card stock. Getting married comes with some true nerd perks, people.

I'm glad to see spring coming around, too. I've already got the beginnings of my little garden going.

Oliver taught me how to make lasagna, and Jonas swears that it's edible. I didn't even burn the edges. If you need some study fuel, I could pack some up for you (and Finn and Sora, if they would want any?)

All right, fellow parents, I've got a serious inquiry for you. How do you put a pause on the whole growing up thing? Just temporarily until I can both process the fact that Jonas is growing up way too fast and also wonder where all the time went.
