- Joy getting drunk at her cousin's bar mitzvah she snuck into.
- Overhearing her biological father and his wife talking about how embarrassing having Joy around is because of the controversy surrounding her existence.
- Getting caught by her real father when she's sick from the liquor and trying not to throw up in the bathroom at home after and him trying to make her feel better while promising not to tell her mother.
- Joy having to wake her mom up so that they're not late to Joy's father's funeral.
- Joy sprinkling dirt on her father's coffin in its grave at his funeral and promising she'll love him forever.
- Joy speaking at her bat mitzvah about what she's learned in the past year about loss and life and how you just have to keep going no matter how hard.
- Joy meeting her baby brother after the surrogate her parents hired gave birth.
- Joy being largely ignored by her depressed mother while Joy tries to figure out how to feed the baby.
- Joy being sent away by her still depressed mother in the middle of the night when the baby is crying and then Joy going into the nursery to comfort him and reassure him that she'll always be there for him.

ACCIDENTAL VIDEO POST;
[Her eyes grow wide as she finishes the note and it vanishes, instead starting to record a post to the network before she's really processed what's going on at all. If you look carefully, you can see her hearing aids just barely peeking out from the way she's been trying to hide them behind her hair so skillfully for so many years. When she speaks, her voice sounds deep and gravelly; a side effect of her hearing problems and a birth defect that isn't helping much. She sounds like a forty year old woman who smokes too much instead of the bright-eyed barely fourteen-year-old she actually is, and she'd be embarrassed if she knew people she didn't know could hear it without knowing why her voices sounds that way. She's always embarrassed, lately, if she isn't sad.
