I Resist the Muses

My mama. She was the most wonderful person someone could ask for. She was smart and beautiful and she was just, mama. It's dumb, I know, but I'd want any moment I had with her relived. Even if it was one of the fights we had. Just something to help me keep remembering her since she's slipping from my mind.

If I had to choose one though, I think I would pick the time she was teaching me how to raise the flame on a candle. She realized I was stronger then I knew. The flame actually set off the sprinkler system. She laughed and told me I was her little fire starter. We played in the water that was raining down on us until the fire department came.

It was one of the last times I had with my mom, and I still remember it. I wouldn't change it for the world, I'd want to relive that one though, keep it fresh in my mind.

It wasn't bad enough I botched a spell. It wasn't bad enough that mentor yelled at me. No, of course not. It had to get worse. Suddenly I had a woman coming up to me and callig me her Bella. Her beautiful Bella. Now, I'm sorry. Who the hell is Bella? And why was this woman calling me Bella? She actually thought I was her daughter coming home from across the country. Oh god. What did I do? My mentor told me that I apparently screwed up so bad that somehow this woman needed comfort so therefore I looked like her. Yes, I was doing a spell to give someone comfort, to make things easier on them. It just sucked that I screwed up.

My mentor said it was a good thing though, that I was able to give SOMEONE comfort, even if it wasn't my intended target. I can't believe I actually screwed that up. I need more practice I guess. *frowns*

There's this one dream that's so vivid I swear I could touch it. It's a glorious fire and the moon high above. A circle that's completed and I'm standing in the middle. I know what this circle is. It's the cleansing circle. Mother told me about it a long time ago when I was younger. It's the circle a woman goes into to cleanse themselves of their past so that they can move onto the future with their husbands. Husbands. Does that mean I'll be getting married? That I'll be going off with someone. I don't really believe that, but my dreams haven't been wrong in the past. I don't know what the dream exactly means. I know it happens soon. But when? I haven't even met anyone...it doesn't make sense. Nothing in the dream makes sense.

Sometimes I just hate dreams.

Sorry. That's what popped into my head. That stupid cheer from Bring it On. Anyway. I'm Tara McFadden, and I live in Ipswitch. Don't know where that is? Look at a map. I run a store, actually, own a store. I'm a witch, and I'm not going to say anything more other then yes, I have powers, and yes I can use them. I never use them to harm people though, it's just something I have and they kind of came at me when I was thirteen. I don't use my powers for personal gain, and I don't use them to hurt people.

i'm not in a relationship. I don't think i'll ever be in one because people just can't deal with me being me. Almost had a boyfriend once, he ended up not being my boyfriend because I freaked him out by being what I was. I'm shy. Sue me. I'm 23 and I don't have a boyfriend and never HAD a boyfriend. I don't care if that makes me sound pathetic. So. that's...who I am.
