Things got rather loud around here pretty fast. And now it's quiet. Is that normal? Or is it just this area? Seems quiet.

Yesterday was so fun.

After stopping in my favorite local coffee place, I took what was supposed to be a quick call, and instead turned the whole place into an echo chamber as every single piece of machinery, equipment, furniture, and fixture in the place relayed every single word I said to the whole shop.

Looks like I'm in the market for a new spot to get my fix.

Size doesn't seem to matter in regards to "distance", in case anyone was wondering. I had to test the theory to see if there was any relative changes due to mass/space but nope. Just straight distance.

I guess it's time to crawl out of my hole. The full moon sucke- My whole routine is off and I hate it. I miss- So I'm going to sound pathetic and ask who the too-early birds are or those who tend to be awake around 4am or 5am hours and aren't busy with trying to get ready for their busy day or something.

It's creepy getting back here alone from the station after a shift. Just someone to meet me halfway or at least closer to here. I'll even buy breakfast if that helps entice.

Is anyone going to mention the unseasonably warm weather? I know I'm from a different SF, but still.

[OOC: Sunday - It. Is. HOT. No matter what time you wake up, it's already in the 90s. It'll creep up to about 115F before the end of the afternoon and it doesn't go back down after the sun sets. Let's throw in some humidity because feeling like you're drowning just standing outside is always fun.]

So I've heard from a very reliable source that the nightlife here in the city are quite spectacular. But there are many to choose from and not enough nights in the week to enjoy them all.

So what is everyone's favorite bar?
Favorite drink to order?
Any of the bars have a good poker game?

Imagine my surprise at the door entries and winners. I humbly give all credit to Rose, Lissa, and Mason.

The routines are getting a little too boring for my liking so I am offering one on one sessions, though I don't mind a group if there is enough interest:

1. The Russian language. This would be basic conversational sentence structure, common phrases and vocabulary, and nothing too intensive.

2. Hand to hand fighting. We have options as far as locations go but this was more of a one on one, especially against a larger opponent.

3. Driving. Automatic, manual, defensive, and/or offensive. Take your pick.

It was nice to be home for the Fourth, even if it's not home-home. Last night's party stirred up a lot of family memories for me, but in a good way.

I GOT A JOB. It ain't on ships mostly because they don't really exist yet or there's a lot more school and stuff for this "NASA" business. For now I get to work on cars. Owner said he liked my 'pluck' and he wanted to give me a chance. I might get to work on planes and stuff later somewhere else. Somethin about my age and bein' a woman makes people nervous.
