Is everyone okay? I spent the past couple of days recovering what I could from the school and keeping students safe. Feels like it's been a week, but it's only been a few hours.

So, what's everyone doing for Halloween?

I took a wander around, and everyone's doors look amazing. Not sure who was judging, but they had a real hard job.

Now, what are we going to spend our winnings on? Apparently IKEA is well known for their Swedish meatballs and giant stuffed sharks???.

Imagine my surprise at the door entries and winners. I humbly give all credit to Rose, Lissa, and Mason.

The routines are getting a little too boring for my liking so I am offering one on one sessions, though I don't mind a group if there is enough interest:

1. The Russian language. This would be basic conversational sentence structure, common phrases and vocabulary, and nothing too intensive.

2. Hand to hand fighting. We have options as far as locations go but this was more of a one on one, especially against a larger opponent.

3. Driving. Automatic, manual, defensive, and/or offensive. Take your pick.

Related to the third item on my offerings, I have an embarrassing favor to ask.

I really need the 14 coworkers with candy at their desks to calm down. I'm going to turn into a Starburst. I've literally had so much sugar my new power is hearing colors. I'm vibrating.

Yes. I know I could just not take candy when I go by their desks. Logic is not requested at this time.

Not having my original manuscripts is making this next book tricky. Without a way to reference past events to ensure continuity, I may need to put everything on hold and attempt the start of a new series. Still mystery, however. Who doesn't love a good mystery?

While I brainstorm ideas for a new story, Thing is curious to know if anyone has any Halloween costume ideas for him. He says he's tempted to try a new polish for the occasion but that he would much prefer to get into the spirit with something more this year. Should anyone have suggestions, I'll be sure to pass them along. And he's already thought of disembodied hand in a candy bowl, as a note.

Also, I got kicked out of my first study group, and I can't decide what I blame more: my fortune cookie or the jerk who had terrible opinions on immigrant issues. I couldn't just let it slide, so now I have to find a new one. Totally worth it. The new one will be loads better.

Castro Street Fair is today, and I need street fair food. Who's going with me?

Okay. I don't know what being I've pissed off now... but I've tripped more times than I can count, got my locker stuck, failed a math test and burnt my grilled cheese.

Anyway, can't say the last few surprises haven't been fun. Can't say I've ever played minigolf, but I'm willing to learn.
