I went to let myself into the shop this morning I was stuck to the door for nearly an hour.

Mr. Parker, I'm not sure how, but I feel like this is somehow your fault.

I can't find my wand or do even the most basic wandless magic.

What is happening now?

Definitely thankful for Hope having that nifty French Quarter area. Mardi Gras was kind of like a reminder of home. If that reminder is the one time you actually went because your school is located in New Orleans and it's magical and...okay we probably snuck out to go but that's not the point.

The point is that it was a lot of fun and I definitely ate a lot of everything but I could absolutely eat more king cake and probably eat it every day.

And pancakes. All the pancakes.

I didn't mention it then but I wrote a letter to my parents on New Year's Eve. I told them everything that's happened here so far, all about everyone I've met, how Doctor Strange and his fiancé, and a lot about Al. I told them how I have Emma here, too.

I didn't send it, of course. It's just tucked away for a rainy day but it was kind of nice, you know? Like a just in case sort of thing.

I think they'd be really proud of me, though. I'm proud of me, too. ✌

I finish the term Dec. 8. I plan to use the snowglobe to go somewhere, but I don't know where yet. How about everyone else?

I feel like I'm going to be such a drag, but I definitely just want to skip Halloween this year. I've had enough creepy and weird stuff for the year.
