I've spoken with everyone involved, as well as emailing WFTDA. (I didn't name names to them.)

The League's guidelines are fairly clear on what counts as unsporting conduct. I'm not asking everyone to be best friends. I'm not even saying that you have to like each other or spend a single second of time together outside of the rink.

But respect is mandatory. If anyone disagrees with that, please speak to me privately.

In that vein, if there are interpersonal issues in the future, I would appreciate that they be brought to me to act as mediator, rather than using the town's network to stir up drama. I don't think I need to elaborate on that any further.

Mo and Lorelei are benched from tomorrow's bootcamp.

Mo will be benched the first two bouts of the season.

Lorelei will be benched for the first bout of the season.

If anyone else has any questions, please bring them to me privately. Otherwise, this matter should be closed, and we can all get back to derby.

Hi, everyone! Another post so soon? Thanks to Naomi's brilliant idea, I'm going to put together a resource accessible to anyone dealing with the Dreams that essentially just lists who is being dreamed of and any other pertinent details you might think need to be included for others to identify that they're at least sharing dreams about the world even if they don't know the name. For example, it might look like:

Han Solo - Made the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs, from Corellia

Just leave a note here, anonymously or not, letting me know the name of who you are dreaming about and anything else you want to mention. If you want YOUR name attached to it, as well, for shared dreamers to more easily get in touch with you, let me know. Otherwise, I'll attach your Anon ID so that others can filter you anonymously!

This is totally optional, but I hope you'll consider doing it, at least anonymously!

Starting today through October 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month. I grew up in Rio Grande City, which is a border town in southern Texas. Though my parents were both born in the US, both my paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather all are originally from Mexico. Basically what I'm saying is that I'm pretty Hispanic, so the next several weeks are pretty near and dear to my heart, especially (and not to get too political here, despite that I very easily could) what we've seen going on at our southern borders.

I know that there aren't any specific events here in town, but the Smithsonian has a whole month of events planned out that they always do, which I wanted to draw some attention to, if you find yourself with some freetime in DC and wanted something to check out. They have some pretty great exhibits and collections to check out, including a pretty cool ZooFiesta at the National Zoo.

Anyway. To celebrate myself, I'm going to attempt to make this recipe my mamá sent me to make her carnitas and tortillas. I apologize to anyone that lives at Pine Ridge, in case this goes poorly and you all have to smell my failure. Que pases buenas noches, Dunhaven.

I start my internship at Buckley & Wolfe on Monday, which is a combination of words that I'm still not sure I believe. Between the four years to get to law school and then the year of it so far, I assumed that I'd be in perpetual limbo. Imagine how flabbergasted I'll be when I'm taking the bar and graduating.

And I love that despite having to cut back on the hours at Chapter One, I'm not going to be deprived of Wolfe company.

I officially have an internship for summer. Technically I had it weeks ago, but I think my brain has only just started to process the fact. Despite the months of law school, I think it's that -- the internship -- that makes me feel like I'm actually a law student. I'm here for it.

I'd also be here for a little sleep, but I'll take what I can get.
