I've seen a number of signs around town talking about roller derby. I've never played, but I went to a few bouts while I was in Portland and I'm intrigued. Someone please tell me more.

My own dreams have made me particularly introspective recently, so I decided it's time for another anonymous post. This one isn't for any academic purpose (though each post is inherently good data for academic purposes despite their individual intentions), but it seems that a lot of us have found them cathartic. So, as usual, feel free to comment below--you will be anonymous unless you choose to be unmasked.

What lesson(s) have you learned from yourself the person you've been dreaming about?

My greatest lesson has been learning to truly value the people in my life who care about me. I already did, but there's something to be said for consciously recognizing that value each time I think of them.

Okay, calling my mom was a dick move, whoever you are, but it's fine. Whatever. I probably deserved that. Calling my place of work with false complaints? Seriously, fuck you.

Three weeks, guys. It took three weeks to get stopped at the grocery store by a complete stranger, be asked if I'm Alejo's niece, then suggested I meet their grandson. I'm afraid the wine, ice cream, and pile of Valentine's Day candy that I planned on consuming myself might have given the wrong message.

Tomorrow is the most sacred of all holidays. Yes, that's right, it's Galentine's Day. Since the furniture was delivered and this house feels vaguely like one that people live in and not just a pile of boxes, it means we get to celebrate. So something wei Just so that nobody freaks out when I don't answer my phone for a couple of days, I'm kidnapping Matias and going out of town for a bit. So, you know, don't let anyone freak out about it.

I am turning 23 next month and you know what has occurred to me? In my nearly two years of legal drinking age, I've never just gone to the bar to drink. I've always been a DD or called it an early night after one fruity drink because I had a class or session or homework or something that I had to worry about. I feel like this is something that I need to change, just for the sake of my youth. It's for science.
