Thanks to Naomi's brilliant idea, I'm going to put together a resource accessible to anyone dealing with the Dreams that essentially just lists who is being dreamed of and any other pertinent details you might think need to be included for others to identify that they're at least sharing dreams about the world even if they don't know the name. For example, it might look like:

Just leave a note here, anonymously or not, letting me know the name of who you are dreaming about and anything else you want to mention. If you want YOUR name attached to it, as well, for shared dreamers to more easily get in touch with you, let me know. Otherwise, I'll attach your Anon ID so that others can filter you anonymously!

I've been stuck in my head for almost two weeks now and I think I finally have to admit that I'm going to need you to help talk me out of it.

I know I might be in the minority, but I'm not upset that summer break is over. At the risk of sounding like a total nerd, I can put all that summer reading to use in classes.

I'm not sad that we're not back in the dorms this semester, though. Apartment living is really the way to go.

I think I need to just pose a sort of existential question to someone who doesn't have a connection to my dreams, but it's going to sound self-deprecating. That's your warning.

And while I don't think there's anything wrong with venting your problems when needed, I do love the idea about venting about joy. So with this holiday weekend coming and it being Friday and all those sorts of things, I want to hear what you're excited about, Dunhaven! Maybe something in the way future, maybe something you already did and are still riding the excitement waves in -- anything that has you all pumped.

As for me, I just finished unpacking and decorating my room last night so it feels even more cozy and just a little while ago I finished talking to my adviser and I officially (finally) declared a Social Work major. It all feels pretty good. 🎉

Okay, can we talk about how Missy Elliot at the VMAs was basically everything and more? I feel like I got about 10 years of my youth back just watching that--and by watching, I mean dancing in front of my TV the whole time.

P.S. THE BREAK DANCING WOMAN WAS THE LITTLE GIRL FROM THE WORK IT VIDEO. I am NOT okay.

I don't usually post publicly about this dream stuff, but I'm just...curious. How many of you find a large amount of similarities between yourself and your dream self, and how many of you find that you're completely different from the person you dream of?

I can't decide which one is worse. I'm...very similar to my person, even things that happened long before I started dreaming of him seem to have an echo in these dreams. tbh sometimes it kind of reminds me of that movie Us, like we're tethered to one another, and what happens to one happens to the other in at least some capacity. Only, luckily neither world is a dark underground bunker and also I don't think my dream-self is capable of murdering me or vice-versa. Anyway. Sometimes it sucks, but then I was also thinking it probably sucks to dream of someone really different, too, especially if they were like...a bad guy, or something.

Anyway. I guess I'm just kind of wondering what other people experience on this front.

A few months ago I posted a lovey-dovey video that one of my classmates put together for our psych class with a bunch of married couples talking about when they knew they were in love with their partner. She did another one, this time just for fun, with some other footage from when she did the interviews and she sent it my way because my grandparents are in it (57 years). This time they talk about first kisses, which is all very sweet and can be seen here.

Like last time, I feel like I need to open up the stage for some further warm fuzzies and possible amusing stories to be spread around. So tell me about a first kiss, Dunhaven at large. It could be with your current partner or maybe your very first kiss, if yours wasn't with your current partner. I'm so over packing right now and just want to hear some stories. 🥰

Also, yes, I only just activated my Dunhaven network account today. That should tell you all you need to know about my work/life balance during my residency. Not that it's improved that much since becoming a doctor, but no longer being in school has enabled me to watch the Great Hack on Netflix, become hella paranoid, deactivate my Facebook, and now I see the wisdom in small-town social networking. So long as city hall doesn't sell our data to the Russians like that pos Mark Zuckerburg.
