Okay, so anyone that knows me, knows why I hate Halloween. BUT, aside from my issues, Pumpkin Pie is in my top 5 fav pies. I ain't too proud to say that I like to bake so if anyone wants to bring me a pumpkin, I'll make a pie.

Starting the first Friday in October, The Midnight Hour is officially on as a call-in show. We're going to talk about the weird and the super. We may not have your "average" supernatural elements native to this world but there is plenty of weird to talk about anyway.

Basically: I got the job. I do need to create a buffer episode to air should our weird happenings get in the way (again) of a show so I was thinking some anonymous interviews. You talk about your personal experiences, I make sure you don't get named or found out, and people get to wonder if you're insane or not.

Example: if I weren't the host, I could talk about my experiences with werewolves. But I can't because you'd literally be able to recognize my voice and I'd get laughed off the air. BUT! I can pretend to be pretending that I'm playing along and the big wigs will eat it up.

Also, I 100% don't ever expect people to tune in. The show runs 11pm to 2am BUT I WANTED TO SHARE MY GOOD NEWS. It helps to feel a little more like home. Not that I'm nation-wide yet or anything. But radio is my home base and it feels good.

Who the hell is Dean?

This is crap timing with the departure alerts. My brother was among them and I wish I'd spent more time getting to know him. My sympathies to everyone else who lost someone they cared about.

In somewhat happier news, Dean and I are finally ready to open the Roadhouse. We'll be holding a grand opening next Friday, July 8th. We hope you'll all come out and join us. Anyone 18+ can get through the front for (or 16+ with a parent or guardian), but you have to be 21+ to drink any alcohol. There will be food and non-aloholic drinks for the rest of you, though, so come on out.

At first I thought this was just some joke being pulled by dad or Uncle Dean because I was on my first solo hunt... but now I'm thinking fairies.

But this many people? This close to the moon? Not likely...

I have never seen so many doughnuts in one place. I was also slightly afraid of a certain few who devoured them at record speed.

It's been a few days, there was the whole swing dancing thing - which apparently I was damn good at - but I should probably formally introduce myself. Probably.

I could probably just go online and look. And pester people. I'm going to miss my show, though. I put a lot of work into that!

Usually, when I end up somewhere new, it doesn't come with a check, new tech and a place to live. Not complaining though, even if $5000 in California is barely enough to get a cup of coffee, I'll happily take it. Who knows, might use the check to hit the lotto and afford a burger or two.
