So, what if school is not your thing? I mean, I'm smart but school is so lame, ya know? At least for me. I mean back home, I was in school but it was like boarding school. The classes weren't structured either. not that she would know anyway because she spent most of her time trying to save Mystic Falls.

I don't really know how doing what I'm good at would fit in here.

So I can't help but wonder about what I'll do if I don't actually get into college. I mean, it's not like I can go home and mooch off my dad.

It's weird. A couple of years ago, I knew I'd graduate, head to UVA to play football and then go into the draft. I didn't think I'd be living on the opposite side of the country, and thinking about joining the National Park Service.

My internship starts in June. So if you've been in California this long and haven't seen the redwoods yet, hold off a couple of months and I can give you a tour.

QUUUUUUUUICK QUESTION:

Is it considered stalking if you wind up going to the same college as your boyfriend if said school also happens to be ranked third INTERNATIONALLY for biomedical engineering and research? Asking for a friend.

I've already recruited Belikov. We're "gently breaking into" Barnes' classroom before he gets to the school Friday morning and decorating for his birthday.

And by decorating I mean we are pranking him. Filling his drawers with dust and cobwebs, for example, because he's so old. If anyone would like to participate or give suggestions, let me know now. I'm picking up supplies tomorrow.

How's everyone celebrating Mardi Gras? I want to do something. Who's up for it?

Is there anyone else not going to the Valentine's Day party? If so, maybe the few of us can can get together and do something. Dinner, drinks, a movie, talk about how Valentine's Day blows? Something.

If you haven’t experienced a Mardi Gras in New Orleans before, you should definitely come check it out. The version of the French Quarter that’s here of the edge of San Francisco isn’t the whole city, but there are still some really cool parades.

The Krewe of Cork is coming up this Friday and Sunday is the Krewe of Barkus. Next Friday is the Krewe of Bosom Buddies

You can get king cakes and plenty of other good food, too. I’m fond of Croissant D'Or Patisserie’s cakes, personally.

I might be able to give some tours if I’m feeling extra generous. ;)
