I feel like I blinked and suddenly I was already 6 months into this pregnancy and only a few short months away from meeting our son. I'm just going to focus on that instead of all of the other things we need to get done between now and then to be ready for the baby.

For the record, he's sitting somewhere between an eggplant and acorn squash and I am never eating vegetables again. (Okay, that's a lie, but it's weird now.)

Halloween is usually our craziest night of the year, and this one was no different. But next year is supposed to be a Saturday, full moon and the clocks go back?

Is it too early to plan a vacation for that week? Because I'm filled with dread. If the high school plans their homecoming for that day, let me know and I can full on train to be Buffy.

This is the first time in a long time that I'm not part of the first day of school and it's even harder than I expected it to be. I'm so excited to be spending this time with our girls but I'm missing my colleagues and my kids at the high school already. I had my cast removed yesterday and I have never been more thankful for my left arm. I have a slightly unfortunate cast tan from being outside so much this summer, but I will take it if it means I can bend my wrist again. Except now I can see all of Inej's scars again, which is kind of

I went to the thrift store looking for a cheap suitcase that's bigger than the one I already have and guess what I found instead.

Renaissance Faire season is one of my favorite times of the entire year. Please come see us a weekend or two this year (all of them if you're feeling ambitious and like the discount of the season pass.) Make sure you make it to the end of the day to see the best sword fight of this Age. 😉

It's probably good to note that recognizing me from the Faire will not get you out of trouble when I'm back at my day job. 🤷‍♂️
