A friend from college came to visit over the weekend for my birthday and ended up staying a bit longer than anticipated. He leaves tomorrow, but I was wondering if you all might want to come over for dinner tonight to meet him? Maybe grill some burgers and have some Wilkerson's deli salads? Or we could do like a potluck kind of thing.

Anyway. His name is Dion [...] and he's dreaming about Peeta.

I have the weirdest, craziest news.

I didn't really tell many people about this, just because it seemed impossible and I assumed nothing would come of it, but -- a couple months back, I was invited to audition for a ballet company out of New York. I did the audition and just was offered a place in the company after graduation.

So. [...] Yeah! It's a thing. Not how I was expecting to start spring break, at the very least. I haven't decided I'm still deciding what I want to do at this point, but I wanted to let people know.

Guess who's wearing Converse to a wedding today. 🤘🏽

I'm too pregnant for this to be the day I start wearing heels.

I feel like I blinked and suddenly I was already 6 months into this pregnancy and only a few short months away from meeting our son. I'm just going to focus on that instead of all of the other things we need to get done between now and then to be ready for the baby.

For the record, he's sitting somewhere between an eggplant and acorn squash and I am never eating vegetables again. (Okay, that's a lie, but it's weird now.)

My mom has texted me six times in the last week, including just now before she went to bed, to remind me that there's that speed dating thing at Jazz House tomorrow. I would be genuinely shocked if I don't wake up to another text or at least get one before 10AM tomorrow. She really, really wants me to go.

I have nothing more to say about that, other than just how much I hate it and needed to make sure someone else knew the state of my world right now.

Guess who's survived most of the summer without accidentally on purpose punching her husband? That's right, this girl.

I had my cast removed yesterday and I have never been more thankful for my left arm. I have a slightly unfortunate cast tan from being outside so much this summer, but I will take it if it means I can bend my wrist again. Except now I can see all of Inej's scars again, which is kind of

I think I want to take my new arm for a spin at the carnival before they're gone. People should join me.

I went to the thrift store looking for a cheap suitcase that's bigger than the one I already have and guess what I found instead.

Renaissance Faire season is one of my favorite times of the entire year. Please come see us a weekend or two this year (all of them if you're feeling ambitious and like the discount of the season pass.) Make sure you make it to the end of the day to see the best sword fight of this Age. 😉

It's probably good to note that recognizing me from the Faire will not get you out of trouble when I'm back at my day job. 🤷‍♂️

So I guess I am doing more this summer than just lazing around.
