Hii everyone! I know most of your chars don't want to hear from Essie right now, but this will be fun! So today at breakfast, some of the students are going to get an invitation to Celestina Warbeck's (Essie's Grandma) annual Holiday Charity Gala! If your char is from Hogwarts, they probably know about it as it's held each year and is filled with famous/rich/powerful people and their families.

It's held at the Warbeck Estate and is basically a mingling/dancing occasion with an auction to raise money for Celestina's charities (she has a bunch). It's kind of the highlight of the holiday season and Essie is very prissy about it. You'll get all the details on the invitation! However, know that the kids usually break off from the main party and have their own things going on with more music/fun in other parts of the house.

Here's who is invited: Anyone playing/managing Quidditch for any of the schools (so all the international kiddos and Hogwarts team!) and their families; old, prestigious pureblood lines whether or not they still have money, newer purebloods with money, super-rich non-pureblood families, upper ministry officials and their families, all of Essie's friends/people she likes and their families, anyone with famous parents/grandparents, and most Slytherins. If you think your character should be there, they probably should! Just ask!

Oh, and all there will be a big media presence so not attending if you're expected to attend (most notably the Quidditch teams) will cause gossip in the media.

Everyone gets to bring a date, the attire is formal (gowns! suits!) and though there are portkeys and ways home, all the students are welcome to crash if they are going to spend New Year's Eve (the next day) in England.

Well I KNOW that there is going to be a lot going on with this genderswap plot, and with so much activity I can't keep up with it all to gather gossip. SO if you character is doing something - it doesn't have to do with the changing sexes - but if they are snogging, not snogging, hooking up, or anything you think might be interesting, post it here! Hello everyone! It's Lauren #2 with Estella Warbeck, a 7th year Slytherin and daughter of famed singer Celestina Warbeck! Thing number one you will notice about her is that she's almost 6 foot tall with a HUGE afro. She is fashionable and likes things with designer labels, which she has plenty of funds to afford. She comes from a huge family that all lives in her grandmother's 9-bedroom mansion. Basically, her whole family lives off her grandmother's massive fortune as want-to-be something or others (mostly musicians/actors), and Essie wants nothing more than to get away from that. But unlike the rest of her family, she actually is rather musically inclined, but she refuses to do it.

You see, your character might know Essie from a few projects from when she was young. She and her grandmother recorded a children's album that was played endlessly on the radio. She was six at the time and has hidden in shame ever since. A few years before Hogwarts, she was also on one of those WWN soaps as a voice actress. Both of these things embarrass her greatly. Oh and she's also a Slytherin chaser who isn't super serious about the sport but is naturally gifted and exploring it as one of her future careers.

Essie is a bit of a gossip - she likes to know things about people so she knows how to react to them. She's not really trusting, but tries to get other people to trust her, which is how she knows so much. But she doesn't spread rumours, just truth. Her life is pretty open, so she's not afraid of retaliation. Even her good friends she holds at arms length, but she definitely would have one or two confidantes and a bunch of other acquaintences.

So... friends? enemies? people she can gossip about? snoggings?
