Hey, folks. Thee things. Firstly,
friend all and welcome Dea with Abigail Yaxley!
And secondly, as you all know, the first game is tomorrow. We wanted to take the time now to explain to you how we're scoring the game. Basically, it's all done with the help of a number and list generator. For the chasers, we get the number generator to give us three numbers between 0 and 6. The number it gives us is the number of goals a given chaser scores. For the beaters, we do the same thing with the number indicating the number of hits (again, between 0 and 6). We use the generator again to figure out the amount of damage (1-7) of each hit. For example, if beater A got three hits, we'd generate 3 numbers. 1 means the player only barely dodged the bludger and 6 and 7 means that the player needed medical attention, with 6 being out of the game for a short period of time and 7 being out for the rest of the game. To determine who was hit, we put all the names into a generator and the first name that comes up is the one struck. We re-randomize the list for each hit so someone could be hit more than once. For the keepers, we generate a number between 1 and 10 to determine number of saves. And finally, for seekers we put their names in a generator and the name that comes out first caught the snitch. If you have any questions, let us know!
And lastly, the article about the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang teams will be posted tomorrow (though it's supposed to published today). If you haven't answered the interview questions, please do so tonight.
Here's the link for Durmstrang and
here for Beauxbatons. If you're pressed for time, you don't have to answer all of the questions.
