Dear everyone,

Can we just say: WOW. We feel so privileged to have been host to this game. You have made it so much more than we dreamed it would be when we were first thinking it up about a year ago, and for that we are grateful from the bottom of our hearts. It is so very bittersweet to watch this game come to a close: bitter because it has meant a great deal to all of us, and sweet because it is extremely satisfying to see something through to the end. Thank you, deeply, for all of yourselves that you have poured into this game, and for all the friendships we've made along the way. This was truly something special.

Our new game is open to you for holds a few days early. It is called Feigning, and you can read all about the premise there. You have first dibs on your current characters and/or their PBs, though we do want to point out that the tournament will not be canon at the new game, and per our character limit, you may play 2 wizards and 2 Muggles. Any other questions you might have, please let us know! We will open up holds to the general public on Saturday, June 23, and if you haven't held a character/PB by that time, we cannot guarantee they will be available.

We will ask that any new posts or threads go up by today, and that you wrap up your threads by Sunday.

So, I know Feinted is coming towards it's natural end and while I am sad, I'd rather it end on it's own terms.

ANYWAY. Before we go, I think we should have another meme: Texts from Last Night

Instructions:
1. Find a picture of your character(s). Tumblr or Google are highly recommended.
2. Go to TFLN and find one or more TFLN that suit your character(s).
3. Post for hilarity. Optional: Edit the picture with the text on it like this:



Don't have Photoshop/don't want to open Photoshop/don't have the patience for Photoshop/don't know how to use Photoshop, use Pixlr instead. I recommend Express for this.

4. Repeat!

For the final games, there have been a few line up changes! For Salem, Johnny and Ruby will go in for Sol and NPC, and for Beauxbatons, Cielo will go in for Rene. Finally, Vlad will replace Eirik in the final game. The teams were told this past weekend though it is not necessarily public knowledge yet.

This will not affect how well a team can do in the game; upgraded reserves will be able to score the same amount of goals or saves as first string players so you don't have to worry about your team doing poorly. We determined who will be replaced based on activity, and we randomized the beauxbatons reserves in order to see who will play. As Hogwarts has already had major line up changes, we decided that theirs would not be changed.

This Sunday, a photographer from Quidditch Quarterly will be coming to take pictures of the quidditch players. The pictures will include just those of a given team (the whole team, players of a certain position, etc) as well as pictures of players from multiple teams (captains, top ranked players, etc). There will also be a few pictures of support staff though they will not be involved in the majority of the photographs. What we need from you is suggestions! We would love to hear your ideas about groups or pairings, poses, props, costumes or even captions. Really, anything goes and these can be silly—and not all of them will make the final cut of the spread, so feel free to suggest anything you like!

Hey all.

A couple of important things. Firstly, we’ve set June 19 as our closing date, the day when the various forms of transportation will take students back to their homes for the summer. So this raises a question about life post-Feinted.

We got some great ideas a few weeks ago, when we asked you all your opinion, so now we’ve come back once more with some concrete ideas which we would like you to vote on, if you are interested in continuing to play with this group of people as so many of you have professed you are. Please note that comments will not be screened on this post so that you can argue your case if you so desire, but if you want privacy, you’re welcome to IM either of us or email the mod account (feintedmods@gmail.com).

1) A reboot, with the premise of a Muggle exchange program. In this game, a select group of Hogwarts students will spend the first half of their school year at a Muggle school, attempting to get up to speed with some of the Muggle subjects about which they are sorely behind. At the halfway point, that group will return to Hogwarts and an even more select group of Muggle students—mostly siblings or close cousins of existing students—will be invited to attend Hogwarts for a half-year and to gain better insight into wizarding education and the world in general. The details haven’t all been hammered out yet, but that is the basic premise, and it should be credited to BritA.

2) A setting several years in the future, intended to allow you to play these characters closer to adults. Our main concern about postwarts games is that it is harder to do universal plot and have characters connected in ways other than lines you establish so we need some kind of through line. One possibility is a magical extension of a notable Muggle university, such as Cambridge or Oxford (or St. Andrews, as I believe Jane and Cindy were plotting about in game), where students could go to earn more advanced qualifications. We like that it would give everyone the opportunity of camaraderie and living in close quarters the same way a Hogwarts game would, while allowing for more freedom than in a Hogwarts setting. Alternatively, it could be a regular post-warts game with everyone living in the same area to generate plot that way. In addition, we think it would be best to limit the age range of characters so they will be more likely to know each other.

3) A continuation of the current game, with a foreign exchange program that could potentially open up other schools from which characters could hail (we did have more that didn’t make the final cut of this one). A straight continuation probably makes us the most nervous, because are unsure, given the current state of interest and activity, if this would give us enough of a jolt to boost activity back up enough to sustain a game. We are, however, always open to your thoughts and ideas—just know that we are most wary of this one.

Whatever we collectively and individually decide, we are so grateful to you for making this game everything that it was, and we are excited at the thought of playing with you all again in the (hopefully near) future.

Spilled hot tea, burned my arm. 5 minutes later, spilled tea on my laptop like an idiot. I'll be online on my phone, so I'll be slow to reply. I can be on AIM but probably won't, much. We'll see. The Internet says I should let my laptop dry for 5 days. That's Monday, folks. I didn't spill much tea, but it still sounds like a good plan.

Hi All! Just throwing it out there what will happen with Leon on Friday, when the acceptance results for WADA are due to come out...

When the post comes at breakfast on Friday morning, he'll be sitting at the Slytherin table, chilling out before Transfiguration and basically looking his usual relaxed self. He'll look nervous, though, when the owls start coming in, and will practically DIVE for his mail (causing chaos in the process). Once he reads his letter and finds out he's got in, he's going to jump up from the table and without saying a word, run over to the Hufflepuff table and plant a great big snog on Maggie Wood (cleared with Sarah, btw), thus publicising their relationship, and run out of the door to the Entrance Hall for a celebratory lap of the grounds.

Phil and Maggie will both know why he's reacting that way, and possibly some of the other Slytherin 7ths and Leon's other friends? He probably won't post on the journals right away and will inevitably be a few minutes late to Transfiguration B. Anyway, if your char was at breakfast, feel free to post reactions/thoughts on the matter!

‘Sup darlings! This is a quick note to say that tomorrow Monday (or... today, Monday. Because 2AM still counts as Sunday, right?), there will be a FIGHT in the Beauxbatons locker rooms. Team fabulous will undergo some friction at the end of their training when Alphonse snaps at Didi for leaving for a date with Seven when there is still much to discuss on the plays and necessary arrangements (because someone is a little bit obsessed with that, tbqh).

Basically, he will angrily reproach him for not taking their game more seriously, caring more about his date than winning, sugarcoating things (like how saying how ~awesome they are is not ENOUGH and sdjhg, so many feelings, etc.) and not making justice to his captainship (this spoken out of stress and frustration). It will start as arguing and develop to angry shouting, though thankfully things will not come to fisticuffs, as the rest of their teammates will separate the two and Alphonse will storm away and disappear for a while.

So, this fight happened in the lockers, so the BB team would be the only one knowing about it (unless the players choose to tell others), but feel free to notice something is slightly off at the BB table, and Alphonse looking tenser than usual, with his jaw set and stomping rather than walking.

Before the game today, the winners for Mr. and Miss Hogwarts were announced! Each winner receives 10 galleons as well as their crown, sash, and bouquet. First runner ups will receive 5 galleons. The winners will also help release the balls to start the game.

Sorry for my prolonged absence, everyone. I got busy with RL stuff, then pulled my shoulder, etc etc. Anyway, Elodie has been pretty much Elodie-like, and Jeremiah is pondering over a year abroad and continues to be in a river in Egypt over his feeeeelings for Rosalind.

Most pertinent, Elodie totally trolled the talent comp and sung "The song that never ends" until she got ushered offstage. She also wants to do a prank involving this song, since of course people want more of it. Any takers?

Hey guys! I just wanted to leave a quick heads up that I have a Relay for Life team and we're doing the event this weekend. So basically, we're camping out for the weekend doing fundraising for cancer research! But since we're camping and it's a group thing, I probably won't be around that much. And since it's my team, I'm going to be getting everything together the next few days. So, probably slow tonight and Friday, and then absent from Sat-Monday sometime. :)

Guess what guys? My thesis is done! Admittedly it is finals week, but senioritis has massively kicked in and because of some real life sadness, I really want to distract myself with RP. Of course, I will probably continue lurking in stealth mode on AIM a lot because I do still have things to do this week, BUT I am mostly back! And I am pretty much always online if you want to poke me. I am sorry for constantly disappearing in the past few weeks.

But basically, this is my call for plot~ If there is anything my kidlets need to know or something I forgot to respond to let me know! And I would also love love love to get more plot in general because I feel like I've got nothing now and that is unacceptable

As many of you have noted already, seventh years who have applied for jobs will have their interviews this week! A bunch of representatives from all different companies and departments will be on campus this week conducting interviews with applicants. Interviews will occur from 10 AM to 3 PM and they will last up to half an hour.

We have come up with a breakdown of the positions that your characters have shown particular interest in; if there are others you need added, please let us know! Quidditch positions have already had their interviews and made their offers, so they are not subject to this system. Information on positions and requirements was posted here, and if you haven’t already applied on behalf of your kids, you can do that here. Decision dates are scattered throughout the Upcoming Events calendar.
