I'm too curious for my own good and I think, eventually, all of this information will be of use to us. So here's the next topic for discussion for all you second-life dreamers out there!

So, good news. GRE scores came back! Everything's good enough. I hope. God, I ho Now I'm on to the next steps of 1) getting letters of recommendation and 2) filling out applications. This part will all be done by Christmas, and then we wait more and I plan a 'congratulations Brynn' vacation to myself.

That or it'll be a 'I'm the worst and this is meant to take my mind off it' trip, but fingers crossed for the former.

I will start taking destination suggestions, starting... now.

I have to say that packing for Comic Con is so much easier when you're not having to figure out how to stuff several costumes with tons of accessories and faux weaponry into a minimum number of suitcases and a trunk in order to keep them from not being damaged and keeping wrinkles to a minimum while crossing state lines. Even though it will be weird to just be Eve Ritter the entire con, it would be infinitely more weird to accidentally dress up as someone in town so it will be fun! Instead of taking pictures with other people, I'll be the one taking the pictures and I kind of love that. It's going to be a good year! I can feel it.

Sooo [...] I was wondering if, perhaps, some of you might be interested in possibly joining me in going to the Ren Faire in Annapolis on, say, September 29th? Since the one in town is done and I didn't get the chance to actually go because of work and everything else, I thought that would be the next best thing. So we could do the Faire during the day and maybe come back through DC and stop somewhere particularly good for dinner? It could be fun, maybe?

Anyway. Just let me know if you'd be interested! It just [...] seems like that would be a good weekend for that kind of thing.

You heathens will be glad to know that the first Grandma's Pumpkin Pie of the season is now available while slices last. I'll keep making them through Thanksgiving. Daily availability is subject to how many people decide they want pumpkin pie for breakfast. Not guaranteed by dinner.

I'm not good at talking about things that might be in any way emotional. You probably already knew that. I promised we would talk more, though, and we can. Here or in person. Whichever is better. I just needed some time to gather some of my thoughts.

While I know that my saying this is nearly a month belated -- and I do feel like I have valid excuses for being belated, between honeymooning and wizard crap jumping back into the swing of things -- I still wanted to thank everyone that came to our wedding and helped make the day as special as it was. It was a day that was years in the making and to be able to share it with so many friends, both new and old, was sincerely one of the best parts. Other best parts include, but are not limited to, "I do" and cake, so you can rest assured that its highly rated.

In other news, two weeks until the NWSL Championship. 🎉

This is super nerdy but scientists used robots to explore tunnels in a 3000 year old temple, and found a burial site. There’s so much we don’t know about the people who came before us. It’ll be me making these discoveries one day. Hopefully.

Hello, Dunhaven! It's August 3rd! You don't know what that means yet, so allow me to inform you: It's time for a Darling birthday bash!

Abigail, Dorothy, and Tessa Darling cordially invite you, the townspeople of Dunhaven, to celebrate our birthday with us this evening at our home! It kind of doubles as a housewarming, because we like to do things in multiples.

No gifts are needed or requested, but if you want to bring food to share or something specific to drink, you're more than welcome to do so! There will be snacks and drinks provided along with good conversation, probably dancing, and if I have at least two shots, likely music as well!

This is an open invitation, but anyone found to be rude to other guests or house inhabitants will be asked to leave. Please don't make us ask you to leave.

Tomorrow is Founding Day and you know that we're going to be parked downtown with the rest of the good food of Dunhaven. We have a great menu lined up, including some bite-sized treats so you can eat a little bit at every restaurant that's taking up residence on the street and spread the wealth.
