Next Saturday, (June 8th) is the Capital Pride parade. I'll be going, if anyone would like to carpool.

With summer upon us and wedding season not kicking off too quick for me for another couple of weeks, I wanted to devote some of my spare time to a project I've always wanted to do to expand my portfolio some. To do it, though, I need some volunteers to model for me. I don't know if anyone would be interested in such things, but I will give you copies of the pictures once they're done and edited. I'm looking for women and men of all sorts, so if you have a spare afternoon that you don't mind posing in, please let me know!

I know I could just talk to you about it at home- and I probably still will- but for the Dreamery's flavor collaborations, any chance you can source me some good edible plants? Which, okay, that just sounds like I'm asking for drugs. But I'm not. Just hibiscus and lavender for sure, and maybe some peonies, begonias, poppy flowers, and nasturtiums if I get to be really greedy.

We are a few days into what is (hopefully?!) the last semester of my undergraduate career.

Whaaaaaat??? It's gone by so fast.

Sooooooo... these dreams and all that. Has anyone's dreams not matched up with, you know, your own sexuality, gender identity, etc? It's not making me question anything I feel (yet?), but I know what's probably coming, so I was curious how other people have felt about it. And what if I meet someone who's dreaming about Arwen one day and they have expectations? Am I worrying about stuff that's just not going to be as weird as I'm worried about?

Tomorrow is the most sacred of all holidays. Yes, that's right, it's Galentine's Day. Since the furniture was delivered and this house feels vaguely like one that people live in and not just a pile of boxes, it means we get to celebrate. I know this is last minute, but if you're free tomorrow night for pizza and wine and whatever else, please come by!

Also yes, Connor is an honorary gal. My house, my rules. 🤷🏼‍♀️ (I've always wanted to say that.)

I hate to complain on the second day of classes because I'm actually incredibly grateful to even be here, but I just spent the entire first session of Modern Literature & Culture listening to the teacher and one of the students engage in a lively discussion about similarities and differences between Anne Rice and Stephenie Meyer and their impact on other modern literature and culture 🙄. We had to defer the syllabus to Monday because we never got to it.

If this is what my scholarship is paying for, I think someone ought to have some questions. I could go another ten years never hearing about stupid vampires again--they're seriously the worst.

I am turning 23 next month and you know what has occurred to me? In my nearly two years of legal drinking age, I've never just gone to the bar to drink. I've always been a DD or called it an early night after one fruity drink because I had a class or session or homework or something that I had to worry about. I feel like this is something that I need to change, just for the sake of my youth. It's for science.
