Happy Tuesday! I have some fun and exciting news to share.

As some of you know, I've been working with a realtor the last month or so. I felt like it was time to plant some roots in town, outside of those that I've already made. Long story short, I fell in love with a house and after getting a highly valued second opinion, I put in an offer. And that offer was accepted!

Obviously it will still be a bit until the closing as everything gets sorted, but I'm just really excited and I wanted to share. It feels nice, like I'm actually going to be officially official. It's been just over a year since I moved down here and I've had some really good changes since then and this feels like the cherry on top.

Listen, that was probably the best birthday I have ever had, and I sincerely appreciate all of the birthday wishes. And the presents--thank you for those, too.

But as amazing as my birthday was, it's got nothing on my weekend plans. I'm just saying.

I think I end up saying this at least once every year, but I love the start up of the Tinest Dancers classes.

I spent my day helping with videography for the elementary school science classes. Sometimes it's just moments like these- seeing kids blossom and grow in new ways- that really remind me why I do what I do.

Three things, Dunhaven.

1) I had deeply missed free climbing. Since shortly after coming to Dunhaven, I (for obvious reasons) hadn't gone climbing at all. Well, I'm using safety measures now, but my love of the climb hasn't diminished at all. Here's a picture from a few weeks before I arrived in Dunhaven back when I was in Nevada for a few days (I had no idea how much my life was going to change for the better,) and this past weekend a lot closer to home with my number one.

Growing up with dad in the military, I think I always knew that we could never really put down roots anywhere. Nothing was meant to be permanent other than family and country.

But in defiance of that mindset, I have signed my name to more papers in the last few days than I ever could have thought possible. And now Lyra and I are officially the owners of 25 Griffin Road.

It'll be a labor day weekend full of boxes and actual, well, labor- but holding those keys in my hand today sure made it all feel worth it.

It's Monday and I feel as though everyone could use a bit of a boost to their karma or vibes or whatever the heck you want to call it, so here's my wish to you all, stolen from this person that I don't know, but I'm sure is famous somehow: ( Cut for image! )

A few months ago I posted a lovey-dovey video that one of my classmates put together for our psych class with a bunch of married couples talking about when they knew they were in love with their partner. She did another one, this time just for fun, with some other footage from when she did the interviews and she sent it my way because my grandparents are in it (57 years). This time they talk about first kisses, which is all very sweet and can be seen here.

Like last time, I feel like I need to open up the stage for some further warm fuzzies and possible amusing stories to be spread around. So tell me about a first kiss, Dunhaven at large. It could be with your current partner or maybe your very first kiss, if yours wasn't with your current partner. I'm so over packing right now and just want to hear some stories. 🥰
