We just finished booking our trip to Virginia Beach next weekend for Alee's birthday, and Mom's volunteered to watch Adelaide for the weekend, and I've [...] found the ring, so it's official. Next weekend is it. I thought curious minds might want to know.

If this doesn't go how I'm hoping it will go, though, I'm going to pretend like you all know nothing and this never happened. 😉

Zeke and I are taking our first long weekend without Adelaide, which is both exciting and a little nerve wracking.

But I think most of the anxiety is coming from the fact that I bought a ring and I'm going to ask Zeke to marry me while we're in Virginia Beach next weekend. 😬 I know it's not very traditional, but we haven't been very traditional?

Either way, I'm doing it.

I'm not sure I wanted to, but I figured out where my dreams are coming from.

Today, I answered a disturbance call about a belligerent squirrel that was keeping someone from entering their vehicle in the hotel parking lot. The man fortunately didn't demand that the squirrel be arrested. He just wanted us to know what kind of squirrels we have in our community, and apparently they're ones that disturb the peace.

Spring is here, folks, and apparently winter has damaged our sensibilities.

I've quit worrying about when the poetry will come. Why? Because it will eventually. In the meantime, I'm going to keep living my life. Buzzfeed decided to compound my decision by legitimizing what I'm saying to you with a Tarot reading.

What I'm truly hoping is that Mom and Dad can make it to the next Roller Derby event. It's good having something to look forward to. And it's good kicking a little ass.
