It's been a couple of weeks since I officially moved down here, but it was such a whirlwind that I think it's only just sunk in that I moved and this is all real and not just an extended vacation. What triggered this realization? I just emptied out my final box of stuff. This is a bit of a monumental moment, given that it usually takes me much longer after a move to settle and finally dump out all of my final boxes. Why use closets for clothing when you can just stack them full of boxes of crap?

Long story short, if you wanted to come over here and not have to step over boxes and random piles of things I hadn't found a place for, that is something that can now be arranged. The cats are a bit less excited about having fewer places to climb and things to knock over, but I did put out their little castle so I believe I'm forgiven for now.

What are the chances I can reserve you for the evening of September 22 and trick you into going to an extremely hoity-toity gala? Please note that while you would have to sit through a portion of the evening where I'm playing with the orchestra, the rest of the time would be spent drinking free, yet expensive, alcohol and eating free, yet really good, food with me? It's the season opening gala and I get one free seat for a guest. I don't really know anyone all that well at the orchestra yet, so I could use a friendly face.

This is super nerdy but scientists used robots to explore tunnels in a 3000 year old temple, and found a burial site. There’s so much we don’t know about the people who came before us. It’ll be me making these discoveries one day. Hopefully.

Today is the most important day of the year. That's right, it's National Dog Day. And, for the first time ever, I can participate with pictures of my own dog, rather than just staring longingly at pictures of other people's dogs. ( Cut for image! )
