The men’s World Cup is coming to North America in 2026! This is the best news. I’ll be able to take my girls to see my beloved team. We may even be able to go to Mexico. It is a dream of mine to take all my children to Estadio Azteca. That would be magical.

I hope we can manage to hold onto whatever positive relations we have left with Mexico and Canada between now and then, or this will become very awkward. 😐

I present to you a list of things that I, Abby Darling, am particularly enamored with today.

1. WORLD CUP. Since the boys didn't qualify lol, I'm cheering for Iceland and Panama. It makes my heart so, so happy that they get to show and represent their country for the first time.

2. Coaching youth soccer. I helped with some workshops before, but this is something else entirely and it's amazing. Parents of Dunhaven with kids playing, your children are a joy. (Parents without kids playing, your children are also most certainly a joy, I just don't get to see them multiple times a week.) I am so glad that the organization had room for one more coach, because this has been the best experience.

3. An address that doesn't include a hotel room number! I feel like the owners of the Dunhaven Hotel were probably sad to see us and our money go, but I am so pleased. Living in a hotel is fine for a little while, but the hotel room decor was starting to get old. I will miss the housekeeping, though. Hopefully I didn't forget how to make a bed.

4. Wedding invitations = sent. They're beautiful and 100% worth the money to expedite the printing. Whoever invented stamps and envelopes that have sticky stuff on them so we didn't have to lick every stamp and envelope for each invitation deserves all the money. I hope they're very well off.

5. Leo Moore. That doesn't change from day to day, though. 😘
