You know you're getting older when, as much fun as you had at the Masquerade, you're more excited about kicking off the high heels, slipping into sweatpants, and watching Netflix for a few hours until you pass out wrapped in blankets. I'm such a party animal.

I felt old on my 27th birthday, because I got to celebrate by having quite easily the worst hangover that I have yet to experience in my years. But at least I was just turning 27 and not 30. The greatest joy of being the younger brother is that I have someone to watch become old first.

I thought when I woke up this morning that I would regret deciding not to go to the Masquerade tonight, but then I made fried chicken, grits, and greens for dinner and I forgot about all those regrets. ( Cut for image! )
