So I was reading The NY Times today and I found an article about a jawbone found in a cave in Israel and they’ve dated it between 177,000 and 194,000 years old, which is HUGE, considering we didn’t think humans left Africa that early. And then I got to this line: “The jawbone was discovered in 2002 by a freshman on his first archaeological dig with the group.”
