My birthday is the 19th. I'm going to be 18. It is odd that 18 means so much here when 17 is the big number at home.

Do you know what you need to go into a store? Shoes.

Do you know what I don't have? Shoes.

Do you know what I need to buy? Shoes.

I can't get shoes if I don't have shoes, and I don't have shoes so I can't get shoes. A $5k check is great, but you know what would be better? A credit card. Even a gift card would be more useful than a check because I don't have to cash a gift card to then get a gift card to order shoes online so I can go to the store and buy more shoes. And a couple of outfits and purses to match the shoes. And some make-up.

And all of that can be used to go on an interview to get a job to get money to buy more shoes.

If this driver is looking for a tip, hopefully Angie already arranged for that, because I don't have cash. I don't even have anything for this increasingly annoying headache. I'd ask about a quick stop to get some, but that brings me back to the shoes and money issues.

Does anybody have any aspirin they can spare until I can get a bottle for myself? That should solve at least one short term problem fairly quickly.
