Mission Atlantis

Hey. I'm Dr. Kaspbrak for those that don't know me.  We don't have much time left in Edenia, so I wanted to remind everyone to get outside and really take advantage of it while you can. Hiking, especially over different terrains, gives a good cardiovascular workout and builds strength.  And the sights make for good motivation.  Kayaking's a good aerobic exercise, a really good work out for the upper body and you get some lovely views there too.  You might even see me out there. 

Taking a cruise was certainly a good idea. If not just to get away from the paparazzi.

I was thinking of checking out some of the nightlife. Would anyone care to join me?

So this time showing up here I have to do school and work but last time I didn't. Interesting. What's the school like here? What subjects are taught? Is there a separation based on age/grade/insert your scholastic box of choice here, or is it everyone in the same space and doing basically the same stuff? Are there holidays here? Do we get school holidays, or is it just full on 5 days a week constantly, no breaks? Because that one's going to be kind of rough.

After being trapped for an unknown amount of time in a world that operates on dream logic, there are a few things I have realized I've forgotten were important. Eating, sleeping, waste expulsion. None of it is necessary in the Dark Place, although some of it is possible (depending on one's ability to interact with the dream).

Which is to say after two weeks aboard this ship, I have finally realized that I am famished. So if anyone has some good food recommendations from any of the restaurants around here, please share.

I can't decide if this whole have your food instantly thing is a good thing or a bad thing.

I suppose it doesn't matter either way.

I'm not entirely sure it was a joke. He might have been making a point about me. Before I do some self-reflecting, is anyone else getting jokes from penguins?

Hello Atlantis! Or Hello Poseidon! However it works. Anyways, hi! Atlantis folks, I've missed you. Although I didn't know I missed you until I got pulled back here. Is Hope here? To the new friends I haven't met yeah, I'm Tilly, a theoretical engineer and instructor at Starfleet Academy, although the USS Discovery is always going to be home a bit as well. Anyway, I'm one of those math/science/engineering nerds that spends way too much time fiddling with things and usually improving them. (Like the time I programmed the replicator to only give out spumoni icecream - it was amazing.)

Anyways, I'll be lending a hand in tech r&d, so hi new folks. I know I'm supposed to wait a week, but I'm not good at waiting when there's work to be done. Also, Sherlock, looks like I'll be your new roommate.

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am not much of a reader. I've read exactly one book all the way through in my entire life and that was the Odessey. I got hit on the head by a book a couple of days ago though, literally hit on the head, and I decided what the hell? This was really good. I've already finished it. Maybe I should try this reading thing more often.

The dreamscape has shifted in the most unusual way this time. Where it had been a gritty, noir version of New York City it's now a spaceship. That seems out of line with the Dreamer's usual narratives, but anything is possible here. Including, I suppose, the wildly different background radiation I am now detecting. I feel, perhaps, even more in the dark than I have in the past 665 days.

I don't see Tom anywhere, but the ship is as populated as the city. It's hard to discern if any of these beings are those shadow monsters or if they are other people trapped here in the Dark Place. I try to keep a distance.
