The Weststar staff is dedicated to making your trip as magical as it can be and on this, the most romantic day of the year we are offering a respite for couples who might want to enjoy some alone time by offering to entertain your children for the evening. We have plenty of things to keep them occupied so feel free to enquire/drop them off at the cafe etc.

She's easy to get lost in, but all you have to do is find your sea legs — and as luck would have it, helping utterly charming guests such as yourselves navigate their way through this magnificent ship is one of my many jobs.

Hello! I should have posted before now but this has been quite a week. My name is Leanne Smythe, Syltherin Class of '97 and I will be working in Intake beginning on Monday. So far this place is lovely although the eagles who keep flying overhead are a bit annoying. They look like they wish to speak but when I spoke to one, it rolled its eyes (No, I am not joking) and flew away. Do these things happen often here?

With everything that has been happening of late, I failed to mention that I received a gift from home awhile back. The text that arrived with me barely scratches the surfaces about the magic of my world. And most of what I've contributed has been from memory. The trunk I received, while not the full extent of the literature I possessed back home, does contain many of the rarer texts that I had acquired. We might find something to aid us in one of them. And if not that's all right. I know we'll find the answer somewhere.

I've removed the protective charms from all of them so, no harm will come to anyone not of my bloodline, who touches them. With the exception of the two that are in elvish, all are in Latin. I'll translate the elvish texts as best I can but I'll admit I am a bit rusty and it might take me a bit longer to do so than I would have in the past.

Perhaps we should all meet tonight or tomorrow over dinner and we can begin looking at these together.

I've had worse days in less interesting places, but I have to say, I'm still not sure how I feel about this one. And whoever got the idea I'd be one for following orders? Forget the lieutenant. Call me River.

The dreamscape has shifted in the most unusual way this time. Where it had been a gritty, noir version of New York City it's now a spaceship. That seems out of line with the Dreamer's usual narratives, but anything is possible here. Including, I suppose, the wildly different background radiation I am now detecting. I feel, perhaps, even more in the dark than I have in the past 665 days.

I don't see Tom anywhere, but the ship is as populated as the city. It's hard to discern if any of these beings are those shadow monsters or if they are other people trapped here in the Dark Place. I try to keep a distance.

Under different circumstances, I might be more impressed by the setup here.

Not that it certainly isn't impressive. I'm just not in the headspace to be in awe of suddenly finding myself in space.

I guess if I'm going to be here awhile, I might as well introduce myself. My name is Julia Wicker. I'm twenty-seven years old, and from New York. I've been told that I'm going to be working as a magic researcher, so at least I'll be able to make myself useful while I'm here.

Sooooo fellow dead people kicking around the ship: what's our official stance on birthdays? Are we still celebrating them? I really don't know how to feel about mine today, so taking group feedback on this one. I'm thinking we should all form a committee or something and vote. Maybe pass out t-shirts, I don't know.

If any of you lot were curious, not even an expertly cast cold fire affects the resident mistletoes.

Thinking about camping on the island for the weekend. Maybe that'll get me out of this funk.

Also, be wary of the mistletoe. I was stuck for what felt like hours waiting on someone to save me.

I'll give this to that portal. It has very convenient timing. Very strange, being thrust into this futuristic world where muggle science and magic mix. Bit brilliant, really.

Anyone with knowledge of muggle 'logos' would be dearly appreciated on under level 3. I've no way to get to my lab without passing this ridiculous quiz and thus far, I've failed every attempt.

Week Four: Nov 22 - Nov 30 You'll have to play a game or beat a puzzle to get almost anywhere all week before moving forward. Large, solid black walls appear all over the ship and spit out a puzzle at you. It could be a wordle kind of puzzle, trivia, connections, or whatever else. Use your imagination, but you must solve the puzzle or win the game before you can continue, or you'll have to find another way around and hope you don't hit a black puzzle wall along the way.

Is there anyone available who might be able to fix this infernal my communicator? It's been struggling quite a bit, and I'm having difficulty getting it to do much of anything. I suppose that's what happens when I'm inundated with a sudden influx of hundreds of messages.

Welcome, everyone. I'm very pleased to be your Team 5 Quidditch Captain. We've a lot of training ahead of us, so I've put together a practise schedule. You'll find I split us into individual groups as well as full team training sessions. This is to give us all a chance to really hone our strengths both separately and together.

If you can't make a practise, that's perfectly fine. I realise I tend to be a bit overzealous when it comes to all this. First and foremost: this is meant to be fun, but it's also a commitment.

Michael and I are available to answer any of your questions. Chasers: Your practise starts tomorrow. Our first team-wide practise is this Wednesday. Let's become the team to beat, shall we?
