Do you think that buttons can feel chagrined? I get the distinct sense that mine are feeling that today. They kept moving around this morning, as I was trying to get into my uniform. Now, Baze, if he were here, would be the first to tell you that I have no shame at all and he's surprised I didn't just walk out the door half dressed, however there is a time and a place for that sort of thing. So I scolded them, for being cruel to a blind man. They rather quickly got back in line and allowed me to get dressed.

Does this sort of thing happen often?

It seems the Force is not yet done with me. I also applaud its sense of timing. I fear I had placed myself in a rather untenable situation, albeit for the best of causes.

But enough of that! I shall be formal for a moment and say that I am Master Chirrut Imwe, a Guardian of the Whills from the Temple of the Kyber on Jedha, which is no more. I have been told I have friends among those here on this ship, but I am always willing to make new friends. They are valuable things, friends, rare and precious.
