I'm glad it looks like everyone is okay thus far. But I must admit these broadcasts are a little strange.

COMMUNICATIONS

I've been doing everything I possibly can to track the signals we're getting, but so far I'm not having much luck. It seems like something is blocking us but also rerouting the signals. I think it's going to take pulling in other specialties to figure this out.

I'm really glad to see people learning new skills. I was just wondering if we could put up a warning sign next time?

For anyone who hasn't been down to the training area today, be careful. Some people have decided to take up knife throwing.

I don't know what prompted me to take so many pictures yesterday, but here are a few of them. I know I didn't ask, which I am surprised I didn't. I usually do, but I guess it was one of those weird things?

One of the first things they tell you at Starfleet Academy is that shit's going to get weird. Yeah, that tracks.

Ma'am, it's truly an honor. I hear we are going to be roommates, that's wild. I'll try not to be too much of a burden.

While I know we have quite a lot of food options here that are delicious, I can't help but take advantage of the kitchens in our quarters and I was thinking of doing something that I used to do on the Enterprise - sort of a weekly open dinner party.

Basically a weekly get together where folks can get together to cook together and socialize. There's just something about cooking and eating together that is useful to getting to know one another.

No dress code, no prior knowledge of cooking required - everyone can contribute in some way.

I'm considering separate weekly dinners for our little family.

Spending the day in magical research has been a lot more exciting than I even expected it to be.

It sort of, just a little, made me miss my days as a cadet going between the different assignments in Star Fleet. I don't know. It might be something more to explore here, especially given the diversity we have here.
