Somehow it still feels wrong for me to be somewhere without Scott. We have never been a part this long, and I find myself wondering what it would be like to have him here.

This time of year makes me think of my family....I wish my dad and Scott were here.

It's hard to believe that I've already been here this long. Halloween is right around the corner; should I dress up this year? Will there be any parties?

I don't know if waking up in a new place will ever be something I get used to. However, to any and all new housemates, hello. I'm Lydia Martin. And if we already know each other, hello again. I can't promise to contribute much to any cooking anyone wants to do (although I will say my mise en place is spectacular, so I can help with keeping it all organized if you really want my assistance), but if anyone ever wants to host a party (as the garden would be a lovely place for one), I'm happy to help with that and am very capable of putting together a memorable event.

I'm sure you're both fine, but waking up in a different place never fails to be unsettling. I know we're still on a ship in space. I know this is probably safer than Beacon Hills on an average day. But I still want to be sure you're both safe okay still here didn't dis fine safe and overall fine.

This isn't a new feeling for me, but I wish it would subside just a bit...

I'm not sure why it happened, but the bouquet of flowers on my desk this morning certainly livened up my work space. Little disturbed that they're As long as no one's bothered by them, I think I'll keep them there for a few days.

Unrelated, would anyone like to go check out that cocktail making class tomorrow? I've not been, but it seems like it could be a lot of fun, especially with a group.

Important question: Does this place do any little things for birthdays? At home, Starbucks offers you a drink, and other places will do free treats. (And then there are the restaurants that will bring out a dessert and sing to you while the entire restaurant stares, which has its pros and cons. Humongous con if it's a place the demands a performance of some type from the birthday person. Also a con if they force you into a ridiculous hat. I didn't spend an hour on my hair to mess it up with a pointed paper hat, thank you.)

If there's nothing, that's fine. I can make due with a cupcake from the bakery.

Unless they're all gone for the day. Then I'll just make my own celebration.

Can this just be over? Boredom just doesn't suit me.

As unpredictable as Atlantis magic can be, the only predictable piece seems to be the reactions of those it affects. Scary or vulnerable to funny or caring. At least some things do stay the same.

To the person whose paper I received, giving your life for someone is the greatest act you can ever give them. Telling them is only a decision you can make for yourself, and I don't think either is necessarily a wrong decision. You don't need to answer, but I'm here if you'd like to talk.
