One of the worst things about having a sister is that she blames you for every weird stain that shows up on her clothes, when it was always totally her fault.

Network Post

Hello, Mount Weather. My name is Edmund Pevensie, although you can call me Ed. For those of you who already know my sisters, I fall after Susan and before Lucy, although Lu's older than me right now. Which should be more confusing than it is

I arrived here yesterday, but it didn't seem right to interrupt the Valentine's celebrations by introducing myself then. It gave me a chance to figure out how to use this thing, and learn a bit about this place. I think I've got the basics: someone dropped a whole bunch of hydrogen bombs, don't go outside, and quite a few of the people here are from stories.

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you.

Alright, I like to collect stories. Sometimes I collect them to package them up and rephrase them as my own, but those are just details.

Tell me something short and fantastic that you've done or that you know has occurred from your world. Promise not to steal it. Posting it here keeps me honest.

This is a request I did not ever expect to make, but I felt it warranted an attempt. There are many of you here with assorted magics. Do any concern the creation of metals or stones, or the manipulation of existing materials into such? I have a vision for bladed weaponry that would be better suited to another metal-type than what I have currently.

I tend to get into the worst kinds of trouble when I am allowed too much leisure time. With that in mind, I've made a list of skills I wish to learn and a list of those I am qualified to teach. Please let me know if a trade appeals to you, or if you would be willing to pass on your knowledge for something else entirely. I am quite flexible, I promise you.

Skills Wanted:
- Proper handling of modern firearms
- Better understanding of technology, including this, what is it again, tablet?
- More advanced needlework
- Any languages not listed below

I am proficient with a crossbow and a small gun of sorts, but firearms have come a long way. I would prefer to keep all of my fingers. As for the needlework, I can stitch a wound, sober or not. I can even sew a parachute I am not afraid to deploy. But I usually paid someone else to do any actual tailoring. Also, it is not a skill, but I am rather fond of paintings and would be grateful to obtain a few.

Teachable Skills:
- Italian. Latin. Some French. Some Turkish, but it is embarrassingly bad. On second thought, no Turkish.
- Sword fighting, dagger throwing
- Acrobatics
- Stealth and tracking
- Grappling, quick and deadly take-downs
- Pickpocketing Dancing.
- I was once fairly good on the lute, but saying I am out of practice would be an understatement

All right, I believe I have talked about myself too much. Thank you for your time.

The magical chess pieces were interesting. I wasn't very sure about the point usefulness at first, but it would make it a lot easier to play while doing something with your hands at the same time. Especially if your opponent takes a long time to decide on their move.

Anakin and I found a couple books in the library about different associations between months and birthdays and zodiacs and things like that, but I'm wondering if anyone here has ever picked their own birthday before?

Anyone any good at repairing hats?

[Susan Pevensie]

I've come across a letter I started for you last time I appeared here.

Despite my initial misgivings I have volunteered myself to act as a voice of Thedas in what is called an "AMA", or "Ask Me Anything". Despite the nomenclature, do not ask me anything. I will only answer questions that I can answer truthfully or fairly. However, as I have had my hand in a wide variety of political maneuverings, religious ceremonies, and assorted adventures, I would hope that I possess the ability to respond to most queries with enthusiasm and accuracy.

My name is Cassandra Pentaghast. I was a Seeker back home for many years, eventually starting the Inquisition and becoming a high-ranking representative of the Chantry called 'the Divine'. I have not been fully honest regarding my position in the Chantry because I had reason to believe that this place was the result of magic or ill-intended illusion. Now, I am not so sure.

Thank you for your time.

Mages and magic-users

Where I'm from one of the biggest lessons we learn early in our magic studies is to establish a warding circle. I'm not sure if this is the same anywhere else, but unpracticed mages are prone to spilling magic everywhere when they try to use it, so we stress the importance of making sure it can't get away from them. My first student, who was reluctant to recognise his magic in the first place as he had never heard of someone working magic through dance, neglected to consider this sort of necessity and accidentally levitated three cousins four feet into the air, where they were stuck for hours until he managed to track me down and bring me back to help him fix it.

It occurs to me that this radiation is, effectively, causing similar issues. I know I have taken to meditating more often and I've been careful to limit my magical use. Even so, I've already seen and heard grumblings from other residents about magic going wild and what they ought to do about it - some, I fear, less hypothetical than others.

Are there others of you familiar with methods used to contain magic in this way? Or who would be interested in learning such a technique? Obviously there aren't going to be any guarantees as to its effectiveness, but I suspect we need to be seen to be attempting to solve the problem or we may find ourselves quite unpopular.

Okay, let's do it.

Truth or dare?

[SUE STORM]

Was it just me or did all those white kids running around here look alike? No offense. But like, little rascal reject look alikes...

Crazy, right?

Filtered Network Post: Minerva McGonagall to Magic Folk

[FILTERED TO WIZARDING WORLD AND ALL OTHER MAGICAL PEOPLE]

Last month, people were compelled to voice the truth and their every thought. We have just seen people reversed in time.

I would hope that no one intended such widespread results, but nevertheless, I believe we need to have an open, frank discussion about how we're using our magic given the extreme side effects we have seen, and about communicating when the unexpected happens so that we might help to correct it.

For instance, I am creating wizarding chess sets for use here. If anyone should feel a compulsion to move to E5 or capture a pawn, I expect to be informed promptly so I can cast the relevant counter-charms.

[info]alwaysaqueen

This is certainly unexpected. I'm not entirely sure that I know how this works, but I understand that this is a way of communication?

So, hello. My name is Lucy, and I've just arrived. I've received the whole introduction, but I suppose I'm now on my way to find my new home. It's hard to believe that I've found myself landing in another world again.

I do not trust this magic. What trickery is at play?

Being cooped up is starting to get me. Who wants a snowball war? I'm thinking: we build forts, plan strategies, and then we have to besiege the other forts.

Who's in?

My God. I have seen much that baffles the mind: artifacts that can fell whole civilizations, echoes of supernatural beings from before the dawn of man, and a pretty redhead in Florence who could put her entire foot in her mouth. But this?

This little square macchina that writes out my words and can paint a handsome face in the blink of an eye? Fantastico! I only wish I could show it to da Vinci.

Perdono. I am Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Please forgive me if I process the rest of this madness in my own time.

Is there a group for those who like to knit? Because while I don't mind knitting alone, it is more fun to do it with others and share stories. I'm happy to teach anyone who wants to learn as well.

Also, my roommate and I are in search of paints of pigments. We might be able ot make our own, but I thought I would check to see if anyone had any they were willing to share first.

[Star Wars]
Favorite colors? Though I can't guarantee that we'll have them here.

[Rey]
It seems you have many talents child. And I would hear of the rest of your adventures if you're willing.

I can start weaving face masks spelled with protection against illness if you think it would be worthwhile. I'm not sure how dangerous this flu is, but I've seen more than one epidemic and we were quite accustomed to supplying the hospitals.

I think I want to go and collect some samples outside. Maybe grab some pinecones and then maybe make a snow Angel. (The brow would be hilarious).

What I really want to do is have a long, hot bubble bath, but since there's no bathtubs and no bubbles, that's not going to happen. A hot tub would be nice too. I just can't quite get warm.

ANGEL, FLASHES, ROCKET, GROOT:
Rocket, I know you and Groot can't at the moment, so sorry. I just wanted to include you cause I can.

Does someone want to take over on Illyria duty while I'm there?
