The 100; a panfandom game

So Herc talked about it, and I decided to start making us a pool table in my spare time, cause why not. I've got a bunch of wood I gathered from the forest and I'll start fitting the pieces together.

Anybody got an idea what we could use for balls?

Hey hot dads. It's just us now, and I don't know what you're doing or if you're off grumping in the corner, but I'd really like to be around people I know. You get me?

As a reminder, tomorrow evening is the monthly Fight Club match up. I tried to make the date Valentine's Day, but Jacob disagreed, so you're welcome for the wait.

If you're new this month, we have a few simple rules in place. No weaponry, and every match is randomly drawn from a hat so no whining about who you get paired with. Powers are left "outside" of the ring, meaning they aren't to be used in these exercises. We're well aware some people are naturally more strong due to their powers, and we just ask that they not go overboard with things.

Leave your revenge and vendettas with your powers and weaponry. Keep your grudges to the level of who beat you last and no killing or even horrendously maiming someone. We will pull you out if you purposely try to permanently injure someone and you won't be welcomed back. Accidents happen, of course, and it's usually fairly easy to tell what is and what isn't an accident. I don't particularly care who wronged you before you entered this place, it's not going to be on our heads if you decide that now is your opportunity to kill that person. At least pretend to act like the adults I know you're all capable of being. In some fashion.

Word of advice to anybody going outside - in this kind of weather, it takes less than ten minutes to get frostbite. You all have Anchorage beat on it. Bundle up.

And also, you all missed out. I was a cute kid ... who actually didn't look like Cullen Rutherford.

Fight Club on Friday; same time and place as last time. Let Evie and I know if you're interested. Let's skip having a battle beforehand, yeah? That was ill-advised.

The rules for those of you who are new drop-ins: no props, no weapons, no powers save those you can't help. All levels of experience welcome. First one to go down and stay down loses; the winner goes on to the next round until everyone's had a go. The matches are random so no whinging at me if you don't fancy your partner. First time you cheat, you're out and that's that. Last month's winner was that Russian bloke whose name I can't be arsed to look up to spell properly, but he gets first dibs on his partner. Congrats again, mate.

Thinking of something else, too; see if it drudges up any interest. Anyone without much background in fighting or self-defense - do you want lessons? I could use a project. I'm only human but I learned young, and have practical knowledge of how to get a bruiser off your back. Don't believe in following specific artsy-fartsy styles of fighting much, but I do believe in being able to defend yourself. Drop me a line if this might be something you fancy.

I was thinking we could all use a little community-building exercise. DON'T GROAN. This will be fun. Maybe we're not all up to trust falls, but here's an easy one: where are you guys from? Because I know some of you come from some real zany places, and y'know what? Maybe there's someone else around here who used to live up the street and you never knew it.

I'll go first!

I'm from Forest Hills, Queens. A bunch of you probably know where that is, but it's (it was?) part of a place called New York City, which iiiiis... pretty far away from here if you're walking. It has to be about 250 miles north of here? Let's roll with that. We have a baseball team that never wins, some airports, and we're all fluent in the language of Mass Transit. Mostly because you can't leave Queens without taking 2 buses and a subway ride to get wherever you want, and you get really good at figuring out what they're saying on the broken loudspeakers in the stations.

I gotta do better about introducing myself. But where I come from, we usually drink or punch first and exchange digits later. Besides, you guys were pretty busy with some crazy supernatural stuff. You need a hand? Point me in the right direction. Cause as far as I see, it's not so different.
