KYLE REESE:

PEGGY & ANGIE:

I have a — I guess a question. I'm not very good at talking about this stuff, because that's just not what I do back home, but if you've got a moment, I could use someone to bounce things off of.

KYLE REESE & JOHN CONNOR:

I got a new housing unit for us. Pops is itching to be useful, so he's already been packing everything up.

PEGGY CARTER & ANGIE MARTINELLI:

Kyle and I are moving out. I know that Pops is a bit much. He's been this way for 30 years, so I don't think he's going to be changing any time soon. We also have another person to look after, so we're heading out. Thank you for being who you are.

How can I change to an empty room?

I know someone who was killed like Emerson.

His name was Aaron Echolls. I don't know if he's a movie star everywhere, but back home, he occupied that Bruce Willis/Kevin Costner/Jason Statham niche that made him rich and beloved by all. He posed with his fans and donated to charities. He also had sexual relationships with sixteen year old girls and then bashed their brains out when they threatened to come clean. Alternatively, he used public sympathy from a recent stabbing (another affair, different affair) to minimize the damage he caused by locking another nosy teenage girl into a refrigerator and setting it alight with gasoline (me, of course. What, did the nosy not give it away?).

Because he was rich, white, and male, and because one victim couldn't speak for herself on account of being dead, and the other could speak until she was hoarse and still be labelled a foolish slut in the public eye, he got away with it. "Not enough evidence". Three words to level you flat, right? It's not supposed to end like this. Parents aren't supposed to bury their children. Truth prevails. Evil's punished.

He was shot after he was acquitted. I have my theories who did it, and I don't care. I hope he suffered. I know he didn't. It was fast, clean, and efficient - an execution.

That didn't make it justice. I saw him for years afterward. I still do I wanted him dead and now he's a ghost in my head, because I was happy he was killed that way. Culpable.

If you're fine with the way Emerson died, great. If you're not fine, also great. Also? No longer relevant. His story is finished, whatever comes out about people who suspected, people who helped, people who tried to stop it from happening. We're always going to be what's left. The collateral damage. We screwed up big-time, friends, now where are we going next? Is murder in the shadows our legacy? Has humanity really been so level all these years? I don't know.

But there'll be a next time. The calendar waits for no existential moral panic. Let's do better then. Let's deserve a system that works to protect us. We can think the world's better off without the Emersons and Echolls in the world. But that doesn't mean we're better for it.

Bollocksed, all of I've had some time to myself and created my own little Advent Calendar. I know that some of you share similar traditions.

So, instead of keeping little trinkets I've made, I'll probably simply share them.

Has anyone seen Bucky Barnes today? The younger one, I mean.

Is there a Sarah Connor in the house? I didn't think there was. But, there's a terminator outside asking for her.

I'm pretty sure it's not, from the first movie. Since it's not trying to kill people etc etc. In case anyone was worried.

Oh and there's a dropship full of random stuff. Some if it seems to belong to people.

Oh, and R2D2. Who is even cooler than a terminator. If none of the Solo's or Skywalkers come and claim him, I'm going to steal him. Just FYI.

When November starts, my mother and grandmother always started the Christmas cooking. Even during the war, they started so early, and we always had a soldier or two or three at our table on Christmas -- boys from the base who weren't able to go home. Last Christmas was strange, though. We had a full table, but so many were missing. I can't even imagine what it'll be like here.

So I found a book today. I remember when I was a kid us girls were always trying to do these games to figure out who we were going to marry and it was always the best fun, especially at sleepovers. This book has some "spells" in it, and one of them says that you can divine who your true love is. So what do you say? Girls night, where we see who our true love is? I think we're overdue.

Audrey said that she can't see that handprint that came with my Trouble anymore. She says that it's gone. But what if it's not? What if those handprints just fade or move or something?

It's gone. It's really gone. I can sing again, and it doesn't hurt anyone. Blessed Mother, I'm all right.
